A Mississippi mother who took her shivering toddler in only a diaper around Walmart in sub-freezing temperatures has been arrested — after an employee claimed they were fired for posting the viral clip to social media.
Kambria Gabrielle Darby, 26, was charged with child neglect after police were called to the store around 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 17 and found the mother in the parking lot, according to WJTV.
Darby’s confrontation and rant inside the store went viral after the video was posted by a Walmart employee under the Facebook username Fee Nicole.
The employee, whose real name is Felicia Darling, began filming the video after seeing her mother, dressed appropriately for the 20-degree temperature outside, place the diaper-clad toddler into a cold shopping cart, according to WLBT.
Some shoppers at the Byram, Miss., location. confronted Darby as he made his way through the store, stopped in one of the freezer aisles and threw a bag of frozen vegetables at the shivering child, the video records.
“He threw cold food at this child. What is your problem?” the man demanded, according to the recording.

“Lower your voice, who are you,” snapped the guard back at the concerned shopper.
“You’re crazy,” a man called his mother before she turned and delivered a tirade, pausing to glare at the camera.
When speaking with Darby outside, law enforcement found the child had been dressed by a shopper inside the store, but was still frozen and shivering from the cold.

In another video posted by Darling, a shopper dresses the child in clothes from the store while her mother stands nearby scrolling on her phone.
He was released on bond conditions ordered by Hinds County Juvenile Court, according to WLBT.
EMS crews were called to check on the child before Child Protective Services arrived.
The child was then released to an approved relative.

After she was released from prison, Darby took to social media and defended her actions and the way she raised her children.
“I have pictures of every meal I cook’ as proof of his parenting fitness. This change in character (sic) hurts me,” he wrote in a 656-word Facebook post, seen by the Daily Mail.
Darby compared his treatment in Walmart last week to the way Jesus was treated.
“They did Jesus the same way, he was disgusted too; he didn’t want to go through with it.”

‘I haven’t seen my children since they were taken from me by CPS. Last night was the first night I ate some crackers since my children were gone,” he added. “I know this too shall pass. I know one day my children and I will be reunited.”
