A wannabe influencer has been arrested in Pennsylvania after he allegedly tortured and killed animals live on YouTube to gain more social media followers, police said.
Anigar Monsee, 28, was charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty last week in connection with four live stream videos he posted to his channel that allegedly showed him mutilating a live chicken, pigeon, rabbit and frog, the Daily Times reported.
Monsee, who in several videos appeared scantily clad, allegedly solicited more likes and followers from her 20,000 subscribers as she hacked animals in various live streams, according to the criminal complaint.
“It’s just barbaric. It’s inhumane that someone could do that,” said Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt, adding that it’s even more disturbing “the fact that you’re asking and people are encouraging this.”
His latest video, titled “Lucky cooking”, which was posted last Friday shortly before his arrest, allegedly shows Monsee using a knife to slice the neck of a chicken over the kitchen sink as the troubled animal tries to escape, police said.
Other clips aired in August and September allegedly showed Monsee cutting up several frogs and plucking the feathers of a live pigeon before running the bird’s head under hot water and then sawing it off.

In the fourth video, which is 30 minutes long, Monsee is accused of using a “blunt knife” to torture the rabbit to death, police said.
Authorities said they were alerted to the sickening video last week by animal activist group PETA.
Monsee, whose YouTube page appears to have now been deleted, was charged with four counts of aggravated cruelty to animals.
He is currently being held in the Delaware County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
YouTube, which is owned by Google, did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
