Speaking of pouring hot tea… fans on social media seem to be brewing a cup or two when it comes to certain scenes in season four! Twitter users are abuzz with their theories about the pivotal scene featuring engaged couple Chelsea Griffin and Kwame Appiah.

‘Love Is Blind’ Producers Previously Denied Rumors About The Show’s Authenticity
“Love Is Blind” viewers have weighed in on social media about Appiah’s phone call to his mother during the mid-season episode. In this particular scene, Appiah steps away to make a phone call to his mother, telling her about his success in the trial and his engagement to Griffin.
According to Elite Daily, viewers follow two aspects of the scene that are quite boring- but more on them later!
The subject of viewers’ curiosity about the authenticity of “Love Is Blind” has been raised before, with the producer disclosing any discourse on whether or not the cast members used the script.
Chris Coelen, the creator behind the hit dating series, previously spoke to Entertainment Weekly on the subject.
“As a producer, I was nervous like, ‘Is anyone going to get engaged?’ ‘Will anyone make it to the altar?’ explained Coelen. “And, in the end, we had more engaged couples than we could get on the show.” (per Grazia).
Coelen’s fear is based on the first season couple. The inaugural season of “Love Is Blind” featured two famous on-screen teams, including fan favorites Lauren and Cameron Hamilton. Amber Pike and Matt Barnett are still married too!
Fans Divided Over Griffin And Appiah’s Behavior On Social Media

As of this writing, it is still unclear whether Griffin and Appiah have tied the knot. However, fans are rooting for how Griffin is taking his potential route down the lane.
Viewers have seen Griffin strike up a friendship with Bliss Poureetezadi on screen and gracefully face her fiance’s path to getting close to her ex, Micah Lussier. Griffin and Lussier try to resolve Griffin’s concerns about their relationship.
Fans rallied around Griffin in the comments section of her latest Instagram photo.
“CHELSEA TEAM ALL DAY, EVERY DAY,” one fan commented on his latest photo. “Thank you for setting a beautiful example as a STRONG, MATURE, and BEAUTIFUL woman. Makes you happy, baby!”

However, Appiah’s impression is not so optimistic.
Fans took to the comments of Appiah’s latest Instagram post to voice their concerns about his behavior on the show.
“SK vibes all over the place,” said one viewer. “You can tell he’s a ‘pick me’ guy. He wanted extra time in the show, so he went for Chelsea.”

‘Love Is Blind’ Fans Speculate About The Authenticity Of Appiah’s Phone Call With His Mother
As mentioned earlier, fans’ reactions to Appiah’s phone call with his mother made huge waves on Twitter!
Appiah’s mother’s voice was not heard on the phone, even though she was using the speaker phone for the conversation. A less obvious clue seen by the audience is Appiah allegedly covering the speakers to protect the sound. (per Elite Daily)
“Kwame had a phone call with the air,” one fan said tweeted. “Those were his words to Chelsea, not his ghost mother.”
“Will Kwame use a ‘phone call’ with his mother to not marry Chelsea?” a fan pensive. “He doesn’t seem invested.”
