Drew Barrymore is one of the few celebrities who really enjoys life, although she makes it her own life’s fight for everyone to let her fans and followers know she’s not alone. But recently, he seems to have had a difficult few weeks after certain comments about his strained relationship with his mother were misinterpreted.
In an interview with NY Magazine, Barrymore spoke about her estranged relationship with her mother who was also her manager as Barrymore rose to epic heights as a child star.
Reflecting on how her mother’s existence was almost an obstacle to her healing, Barrymore mentioned that she did not have the “luxury” of moving on compared to people whose parents have died, saying, “I can’t wait. I don’t want to live in a situation where I want someone gone earlier than I should have so I could grow. I actually want him to be happy and thrive and be healthy. But I have to… grow even though he’s on this planet.”
Some of these comments were taken out of context by factions of the media and it was reported that the 48-year-old wanted his mother, Jaid, dead. The “50 First Dates” actress used her Instagram to blast the “tabloids” who reported her in a video with strong words:

Debra Messing called him a “hero” while Cara Delevingne commented, “We love you, Drew.” Michelle Pfeiffer also took a stand by writing, “Thank you for taking this on. I see and know you’re not talking.❤️”

The “Charlie’s Angel” star posted a sweet carousel on Instagram that started with her adorable childhood photos and continued to show off tons of other pictures and videos she loved.
She gave the carousel a thumbs up, writing, “Last carousel for the summer… I want to thank everyone for making this feed such a loving place. Safe space as per the plan. It’s just so funny and kind. My two favorite things in life. I’m taking a break from social media for the summer. I used to do it all the time. And it is very healthy for the soul. I’m going on some adventure. Look what I found. No matter what I find and discover in this world… I really like to share it.”
He later reassured his fans that he would be back soon, writing, “I feel so blessed that we can all connect. Thanks to anyone who gave me space in their fields. Okay. Now go out and enjoy the summer of your life. I’ll be working on the next issue of @drewmagazine and … I’ll see you in the fall for @thedrewbarrymoreshow season 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

The good news is, we get to see the fourth season of “The Drew Barrymore Show” which is a favorite among viewers because of how sweetly she interacts with the audience.
Of course, his fans loved it, loved the fact that he took time for himself while telling them that he will be missed because he made them smile. Funnily enough, it was the David Bowie snippet he posted that got the most attention (here, slide 8). Recorded in 1999 at the height of the Internet revolution, Bowie describes how it’s the most exciting yet terrifying thing and the pros and cons that will come out if it’s not even imagined.
