White House: ‘Squad’ Democrats comments on Israel ‘wrong,’ ‘repugnant’ and ‘disgraceful’

The White House has denounced the comments of several members of the congressional “Squad” about the devastating terrorist attacks on Israel as “wrong,” “disgusting” and “disgraceful.”

Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked on Tuesday for President Biden’s response to progressive lawmakers focused on calling for an immediate ceasefire and for the US to stop funding Israel.

“I’ve seen some of those statements this weekend, and we’re going to continue to be very clear. We believe they are wrong, we believe they are disgusting, and we believe they are shameful,” Jean-Pierre said, without naming names.

“Our condemnation belongs to the terrorists who have brutally killed, raped, kidnapped hundreds, hundreds of Israeli citizens. There is no doubt about that. There are no two sides here. There are no two sides,” he added, according to Fox News.

Progressive pro-Palestinian delegates who are part of the “Squad” focus on calling for an end to all violence — and for Biden to stop funding the Jewish state.

American Socialist Democrats also promoted a pro-Palestinian rally in Manhattan Sunday even as Israel counted more than 1,2000 dead, including horribly mutilated children.

On Wednesday, Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-Mich.) has renounced his party membership in disgust at the rally and the delayed response to the outrage it sparked.

“After the brutal terrorist attacks on Israel, including the indiscriminate killing, rape, and kidnapping of innocent men, women, and children, I can no longer associate with an organization that does not want to call for violence in all its forms,” Thanedar , 68, said in a statement.

“Sunday’s hateful and antisemitic rally in New York City, promoted by NYC-DSA, made it impossible for me to continue my coalition. I stand with Israel and its right to defend itself. There is no place for moral turpitude in the face of unsullied evil like we see from Hamas.”
