However, he required surgery and further care from family members throughout his formative years. Terry took on a protective role for his older sister as a teenager. He helped her after the surgery by turning her over and dressing her. During family trips, dad often carried her on his shoulders.
Terry mentioned in a candid interview that his older sister was an inspiration to him in his athletic pursuits. Undoubtedly, his sister taught him about fighting spirit and never-say-die mentality.
“I can’t imagine how he feels sometimes when he’s in his room and can’t go out and be a normal kid, but he inspires me with the way he handles things.”
Tre’Dasia, on the other hand, overcame obstacles and achieved more than most doctors expected. However, he would like to underline that the road is not easy.
“I want to be around people who have the same challenges as me, and I want to be a motivator for them.”
He has a humanitarian mentality and wants to help other children who have the same difficulties as him.
