Hayden Springer, a PGA Tour golfer, and his wife Emma tragically lost their three-year-old daughter Sage, to a birth-related illness. Sage was born in 2020, although she was diagnosed with Trisomy 18 just before reaching 26 weeks of pregnancy. Although Hayden and Emma intend to keep Sage alive after she is born, a medical doctor they trust warns that doing so will only prolong Sage’s misery. Doctors thought he wouldn’t last more than a few hours, but he beat the odds and survived an incredible three years. Sage, however, could not overcome the situation and died on November 13, 2023.
Emma sent a touching statement about their beloved daughter, Sage Elyse, saying, “Our magical girl princess, Sage Elyse, was healed forever on November 13, 2023, at 7:10 p.m.” He gives us untold pleasure and happiness. His wild and foolish soul was no longer bound to his physical body. We know he is just beginning the best days of his life.” She also asked guests at her funeral to wear pink in memory of Sage.

Hayden and Emma Springer’s children are Sage and Annie. Unfortunately, with Sage’s recent death, they now only have Annie as a daughter. Hayden and Emma, who met in college and fell in love, married in 2019. Sage, their first daughter, was born in October 2020. At 20 weeks of Emma’s pregnancy, they received the sad news that Sage has Trisomy 18, often known as Edward’s Syndrome, a genetic disorder with serious consequences. Sage miraculously lived to be three years old before dying. Following Sage’s difficult journey, the couple was blessed with another daughter. Annie was born in October 2023 and had her first birthday just a few months ago.
Emma Springer, Wife of Hayden Springer, Is a Registered Nurse
Hayden’s wife, Emma Springer, graduated from the University of Texas Health Houston Cizik School of Nursing in 2020 and is now a registered nurse. He went to Texas Tech University, where he met Hayden during his freshman year. Both were involved in the school’s golf program, and their shared love of the sport formed the basis for their relationship. Emma is also an excellent golfer, winning several tournaments. Hayden then transferred to TCU for golf, where he won the Big 12 championship as a senior by beating Viktor Hovland.
Despite this, Emma and Hayden’s bond remains strong. They got engaged in August 2018 after dating for years. Emma tweeted her wonderful news with the phrase, “I SAID YES!!!” And it was the easiest choice I ever made. With this man, a lifetime is not enough. After Hayden’s graduation from college and the start of his professional golf career, they married on August 2, 2019. Emma now puts her family and children first.
