Monika Czinano comes from a basketball-oriented family, with two younger sisters, Maggie and Mallory, who share her passion for the sport. Mallory recently made news by committing to play basketball at Minnesota State University, following in her older sister’s footsteps. Maggie also showed her skills on the basketball court as a member of the University of Minnesota.
The three sisters have been playing basketball since childhood, and they all want to play in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). Monika Czinano, a professional basketball player from the United States, is best known for her performance as a forward and power center at the University of Iowa. his time at Iowa, he reached a milestone his senior year. He became the sixth Hawkeye to reach 2,000 career points, and the 38th in Big Ten Conference history. Even in high school, he was a three-time all-conference honoree, selected to the All-Division team by Breakdown Sports Media in 2017 and 2018, and named First Team All-State in 2018.

Monika Czinano grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota, with her two younger sisters, Maggie and Mallory Czinano. All three sisters play basketball and are active athletes. Maggie Czinano is currently playing junior basketball for the University of Minnesota. Prior to his undergraduate career, he received Star Tribune All-Metro Honorable Mention recognition during his high school years.
Maggie also excelled in other sports, earning five letters in both soccer and track & field. He was a two-time all-conference selection and honorable mention all-state in football in 2018. He committed to play for Minnesota after high school, but due to various ailments, he played in only nine games his freshman year. Instead, he appeared in 29 of the team’s 30 games the following season. Maggie got her first career start against Illinois (1/15), finishing with six points on 3-of-4 shooting and five rebounds. He also had a career-high 11 rebounds in his third career start against Purdue.
Sister Mallory Is a Leader for Minnesota State University
Mallory Czinano, a 6’0 forward from Watertown, Minnesota, was a standout athlete who excelled in multiple sports at Watertown-Mayer High School. Mallory received three varsity letters in basketball, volleyball, and track during her high school career. During his junior basketball season with the Royals, he averaged 11 points and 5.7 rebounds. Mallory was named three times to the All-Conference team and received Most Outstanding Player honors as a freshman and sophomore.
In addition to her basketball abilities, Mallory has participated in various track and field events, including the 100m, 200m, and 400m sprints, and has qualified for state in the shot put. He currently plays basketball at Minnesota State University.
