Antonia Lofaso, a celebrity chef, is scheduled to participate in Superchef Grudge Match, which will air on Food Network on February 7 at 9pm ET/PT. Darnell Ferguson, a prominent chef, restaurateur and co-host of “America’s Worst Cook” and the Tournament of Champions, will host the event.
The 46-year-old will be joined by a host of other culinary industry veterans in the Superchef Grudge Match, which is all about settling long-standing feuds between competing chefs who have personal and commercial disagreements. Competing chefs will get the chance to settle their disputes once and for all in one round to bury the hatchet and determine who is the best cook of them all. The future winners of the program will get a lifetime right to brag about their victory over their opponents, a lucrative monetary award, and more.
The Food Network’s official summary of Lofaso’s spat with rival chef Jet Tila on the program reads as follows:
“In the season premiere, Darnell invited Chef Antonia Lofaso and Jet Tila to settle their ‘Championship of Champions’ feud — the two were deadlocked in every category until Jet won a rematch in the finals by one point. Antonia is keen to restore order in the cosmos as she traditionally wins, while Jet is eager to keep his winning streak.

Chef Antonia Lofaso, of Italian-American descent, is best known for her efforts on Top Chef season 4. (2008). On Top Chef: All Stars (2010) and Top Chef Duels (2011), he showed off his culinary skills with his tough Italian personality (2014). Antonia Lofaso opened Scopa – Italian Roots in 2013, and it was a great success. The chef’s interpretation of classic Italian food has been hailed as one of the top country-based restaurants in Los Angeles. Customers praise Scopa as an important local institution where Lofaso’s always serves a welcome, authentic, and certainly filling meal.
After graduating from the elite French Culinary Institute, the 46-year-old was recruited at the most famous restaurant in Beverly Hills, Wolfgang Puck’s Spago. Lofaso spent six years working at the legendary LA hotspot under the tutelage of senior chef Lee Hefter, honing his skills and techniques. Lofaso made the difficult choice to leave Spago and seek new experiences after mastering cooking.
Antonia Lofaso’s career began when she started her new job at LA diner, Foxtail, when Bravo recruited her for season 4 of their wildly popular cooking competition program, Top Chef. In addition to his restaurant and television experience, he also worked as a personal chef for some of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities, which he added to his skill set. Lofaso collaborated with Penguin in 2012 to create The Busy Mom Cookbook: 100 Recipes for Quick, Delicious, Home-Cooked Meals, which also recounts the challenges she faced while attending the elite French Culinary Institute and caring for her son.
His television credits include appearances as a judge on CNBC’s Restaurant Startup and recurring parts on The Food Network’s Man v. Child, Real O’Neals, Grocery Games, Supermarket Stakeout, Chopped, and Cutthroat Kitchen, among others. Lofaso was romantically involved with Jamaican-born rapper Heavy D, with whom she had a daughter named Xea Myers in 2000. Lofaso described the rapper’s death as a “whirlwind,” and the chef previously expressed his dismay. The latter now resides in Los Angeles with his 22-year-old daughter. Lofaso has just transitioned from television celebrity to business owner. He is currently the executive chef and owner of Black Market in Studio City, California, which he founded in 2011 with Mario Guddemi and Sal Aurora.
