Next Level Chef will return for a second season on FOX following Super Bowl LVII on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at 10:30pm ET. The program, however, will return to its regular time slot on Thursday, February 16, at 8pm ET. Three world-renowned chefs, Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington, and Richard Blais, are set to compete in a culinary competition as mentors to 18 extraordinary chefs separated into three teams. Shay Spence, a traveling food writer, chef and entrepreneur, is one of 18 chefs scheduled to participate in season 2. On the Fox cooking program, he will be a member of Team Arrington.

Shay Spence, culinary and travel writer, social media content developer and consultant will be participating in Season 2 of Next Level Chef. Although he made a career out of writing about cooking and travel, he was passionate about it. However, it was not the case when he first started. He attended Tulane University as a student, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government in 2012. Spence, on the other hand, quickly changed his mind and applied to the Culinary Education Institute to study culinary arts and management. In 2014, he graduated from the institution.
He has served many organizations during his time at Tulane, including the Trust for the National Mall, where he worked as a marketing intern for three months. After that, he worked as a campus outreach supervisor for World Students. Spence was assigned to serve as a liaison between university professors and a non-profit organization that helps students travel to underdeveloped countries to “record success stories.”
In 2014, she worked as a Test Kitchen Intern for Good Housekeeping and Every Day with Rachael Ray after graduating from culinary school. The Next Level Chef season 2 cast member also worked as an editorial assistant before landing a position as culinary editor for People Magazine, where she stayed for six years until departing in 2021. Shay Spence has a large social media following, with over 141K Instagram followers. He often uses the site to share culinary and travel-related information, including recipes inspired by other famous foods or created by him.
The Super Bowl Super Snacks series is hosted by Next Level Chef season 2 contestants. He’s had eight segments on the program so far, with the latest addition being garlic butter chicken wings. The social media influencer will join Nyesha Arrington’s crew on Next Level Chef season 2. Alex Morizio (48), April Clayton (39), Nuri Muhammad (22), Omallys Omi Hopper (39), and Pilar Omega will be in the group (38 ).
Blais Team members Christopher Spinosa, Darryl Taylor, Kamahlai Stewart, Matt Groark, Mehreen Karim, and Tineke Younger are among the other cheftestants who will be featured in the program. They will also be up against Cassie Yeung, Mark McMillian, Michelle Calcagni, Preston Nguyen, Tucker Ricchio, and Vincent Vinny Alia from Team Ramsay.
