“The Real Housewives of New York City” alum shared that after two years of engagement, they still don’t have concrete wedding plans, and the idea of an official wedding may not be in their future. Frankel openly stated her stance on marriage in an exclusive interview with E! Chief News Correspondent Keltie Knight. He stated:
“I don’t want to build a marriage. I love my life, I love my fiancé. He’s an amazing life partner, and I don’t want to sign a contract with someone I love, and I don’t want to plan a big wedding for someone else and not what we want.”
The 52-year-old emphasizes that he prefers to do what feels right for them rather than conforming to society’s expectations. In 2021, just weeks after Frankel finalized her divorce from ex Jason Hoppy, Bernon proposed. In an Instagram update, the TV host shared a heartwarming story about how she popped the question.
The “Z Rock” guest star shared a series of slides on her page, starting with a cozy photo of her and the businessman cuddling together on their special night. In the next slide, her stunning diamond ring with an emerald-cut stone flanked by two smaller rings takes center stage.
Another upload showcased the couple’s ocean selfie and a photo of the “Skating with the Stars” runner-up wearing a hot red bikini. Under the flurry of content, he wrote:
“On February 12, 2021, during the pandemic, Paul and I went to Little Palm Island, a small private hotel on the island of Florida in Florida. We are home people and rarely book reservations…we like to be free and agile and not bound by time or plans.”
She revealed that Bernon’s sole mission on their special day was to see the sunset “because the Keys are known for their spectacular sunsets.” For the ceremony, the producers of “Teacher of the Year” took her to a secluded table on the beach, creating a private and romantic atmosphere like a fantasy date on “The Bachelor.”

Although Frankel admitted that “the intimate details of the story are private,” he assured his followers that the secrecy did not take away from the fact that it was “a beautiful proposal, in a beautiful setting, with a beautiful ring, to a beautiful man.”

The “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” host proposed that she marry her second husband, Hoppy, which eventually led to them tying the knot in 2010. The former couple separated two years later, and their divorce was only finalized in 2021. She reportedly stated :
“Andy told me to marry Jason, so that’s it. Worst idea in history.”
In the same podcast episode in 2021, the mother of one told of her “nightmare divorce” from the entrepreneur. Frankel revealed that she initially refused to sign a prenuptial agreement, firmly believing that “‘nobody’s taking anything from me.'”
Looking back, the “New York Million Dollar Listing” guest shared, “I’ve spent millions of dollars, millions of tears. I had a horrible hall of fame, a nightmare divorce.
Discussing her concerns about prenuptial agreements, she explained her doubts, “I believe, and I don’t want to deal with this, and it’s embarrassing.” The “Hollywood Hills 90028” host further elaborated that the word ‘prenup’ embarrassed him, finding it uncomfortable and awkward.
