Wild Thanksgiving Eve brawl at popular Massachusetts restaurant leaves man bloodied, police investigating felonies

A wild fight broke out at a Chinese restaurant in Massachusetts on Wednesday, turning the family’s diner into an amateur WWE ring that left at least one man bleeding.

A fight broke out at the Kowloon Restaurant in Saugus, MA when the diner was packed with Thanksgiving Eve diners.

A video posted to social media captures part of the frenzy when dozens of people were caught punching each other inside a popular New England restaurant.

At one point, a man, whose face was covered in blood, was grabbed by the head by another man, while two women tried to break them before a glass bottle was apparently thrown and shattered on top of the two men, according to WCVB.

In a separate video, a police officer wrestled one of the fighters to the ground in an attempt to break up the fight.

Six Saugus police officers assigned to the restaurant Wednesday night rushed in and broke up the chaotic fight.

“Kowloon is a family-friendly restaurant, unfortunately a few unruly diners ruined a wonderful night for many others,” Saugus Police Chief Michael Ricciardelli said in a statement according to NBC Boston. “This kind of disruption on Thanksgiving Eve is unacceptable and disgusting.”

Massachusetts state troopers arrived a short time later and stayed on the scene to disperse the crowd after the owners decided to close the bar and restaurant early.

“When I heard that it was on social media and everyone was watching it, I was like, Oh my God, I think it’s good and bad to be popular,” Kowloon owner Bob Wong told the outlet.

The police have detained and interrogated several youths involved in the fight.

No arrests were made and the number of people injured was not disclosed but a criminal investigation was opened because glass bottles were used during the fight.
