The Black Eyed Peas singer released “Mind Your Business” with pop star Britney Spears in July 2023, marking her second single after 13 years of conservatorship.

On Friday, September 1, will.i.am promoted David Guetta’s mixtape “Mind Your Business” on X, formerly known as Twitter. “It’s a B****H Remix… Thank you @davidguetta… This remix really rocked the club!!!” she wrote in the caption of the song’s short video clip.
“Love the new remix!!! Good! Will this be pushed more than the OG version though?” a fan asked, but there was no answer. Britney did quite a bit of promotion for the song and it failed to make the same impact that “Hold Me Closer” did.
“Songs are rubbish. The remix is rubbish. Sounds like a Britney knock. And you’re the only one promoting it,” another user commented, noting that Britney didn’t promote the mix at all, let alone the original.

Comments were also divided on the World Music Awards’ announcement of the new mix. “The origin of eating. This tho… is so horrible! Very, very horrible!” a user commented. However, some disagreed, writing, “This remix is good too.”
Other fans were upset that the pop star wasn’t enough. “Starring everyone but Britney,” one user wrote. One Britney fan apparently loved the song, as a Britney fan account exclaimed, “We love this!!!”
Comments seem to be mixed. “This song is bullshit. I love Britney but this is really bad,” said another user. “Can it save that song? C’mon @davidguetta. Fix the cr*p @iamwill did,” another follower shared.
One question everyone seems to be asking, however, is why Britney isn’t promoting the new mix and why she isn’t making an effort to share the original song the way she promoted “Hold Me Closer.”

Britney didn’t do much promotion for her second single, although she admitted that she was “overwhelmed” by the release of her first post-conservation single: “Hold Me Closer” with Sir Elton John.
In a since-deleted Twitter post, the Pop Princess admitted that she was “overwhelmed” at the thought of releasing her first song in six years.
“Okie dokie … my first song in 6 years ? !!!! So exciting— I’m singing with one of the most classic men of our time … @eltonofficial ?!!!!” Britney wrote at the time. “I’m a bit overwhelmed… it’s a big deal for me !!! I meditate more ??♀️ and learning my space is precious and valuable !!!”
“I’m learning every day is a good time to try and be a better person and do what makes me happy … yes I choose happiness today,” she continued. “I tell myself every day to let go of the bitterness of being hurt and try to forgive myself and others for what may have hurt.”
