The Chrisleys are set to star in the new show and it is reported that incarcerated parents Todd and Julie Chrisley will be supporting them.
Will They Be On The Show?

That would be like a reward for the couple who should have been punished for their alleged tax crimes and fraud. Getting paid to be on TV while being punished seems like a crime in itself.
Jay Surgent, Partner at Weiner Law Group LLP, agreed with something similar when speaking to him PEOPLE. “Highly doubtful that the Bureau of Prisons would allow any filming for this, regarding Julie or Todd.”
“Certain rules and regulations have to be followed for the purpose of security and administrative operations in prisons, and there is no question about that. However, I expect, knowing Todd, that he will contribute in every way he can by talking to him.”
Todd And Julie Chrisley Stay Strong

One of the pillars of strength of the disgraced reality TV couple is their children, especially Savannah. “He talked to [his daughter] Savannah. Savannah visits her parents, Savannah keeps in touch with her parents on the phone,” said Surgent.
“He’s going to add his perspective on things related to his thoughts on his kids, what they’re doing with their careers, with this new show that’s now being shopped around. Also, his own situation and also Julie’s situation.”
So, Todd Chrisley Gets Involved

Obviously, Todd is pretty picky with Savannah and seems to still have control over the family from prison like a mob boss.
“So even though they will not be active participants in the film, their situations, their concerns, will be able to be expressed through the mouths of their own children during this unscripted documentary performance,” he said. “So, they’re looking forward to it.”
He also said that Todd is “very excited” about the TV show because he said “It’s going to be natural and easy.” Finally, Todd knows his family makes great TV.
“He knows a lot of people who love his show and love family shows — like, that aspect, that it’s not scripted and people act naturally. It’s not like, I don’t know, acting or prejudice.”
The Chrisley’s Should Watch What They Say

Surgent seems neutral about Chrisley’s return to TV but he warns, they can’t be as blunt as they used to be.
“There are certain things that cannot be said and done while an appeal is pending before any circuit court in the United States, not least in their highly publicized situation.”
He continued, “So, while the children and [Todd’s mother] Faye’s caregivers may express their concerns about their children and about their own situation, they will not be able to elaborate with reference to any specific legal opinions projected by their attorneys or pending issues before the Federal Circuit Court.”
But overall, the family is allowed to “talk about it in general.” This should be interesting.
