Will Poulter recently reveal about his physical transformation for his role as Adam Warlock in the Marvel movie, “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3?” The 30-year-old actress, who stars alongside Chris Pratt, underwent a rigorous and challenging process to add muscle to her naturally petite frame.

In an honest interview with GQ Hype, Poulter talks about his journey to becoming a superhero and how he doesn’t think of himself as “conventionally attractive.” “All I know is that I’m working as hard as I can, safely and naturally, to pass as a superhero,” he said. “If that’s not enough for people, fair enough, but I’m not willing to compromise the way I do it.”

The “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch” actor added, “I can’t be an advocate for mental health and at the same time promote anything other than responsible, natural bodybuilding. I don’t want anyone to feel like I’m suggesting there’s a better body type than someone else’s.”

Poulter previously credited Pratt with helping him get in shape for the role. However, he admits the intense exercise regime he went through to achieve his muscular physique is not something he would recommend to others.

As an actress, scrutiny of her physical appearance is something the “Midsommar” star is used to, despite not considering herself “conventionally attractive.” Poulter revealed that people often comment on her unique features, including her eyebrows, but she remains comfortable and secure in her appearance. “It’s weird when people start debating my physical appearance online whether it’s considered attractive or unattractive,” she said.

The actor also shared his concerns about the focus on physical appearance in society and the damaging effects of social media. “Why do we discuss or spend so much time discussing people’s physical appearance?” he questioned.

“Especially in the case of women. But whether you’re a boy or a girl, why is that the focus? Unfortunately, social media has created this problematic idea that everyone’s opinion on everything is equally important,” he added.
