Willie Garson’s son is remembering his late father on the first anniversary of his passing. He sent an emotional letter to the father whom he also called his “best friend”.

Garson died of pancreatic cancer last September, he was 57 years old when he died. “Wow. I can’t believe it’s been a year since the beautiful bald man I can call my father passed away,” joked the 21-year-old woman.
“Besides his head, I think I miss his laugh and smile the most. Because I know every time he laughs he’s not the only one laughing.” wow! Has anyone else choked?
Nathen remembers his father as the life of the party wherever they went. “He had a knack for literally talking to anyone he met and making them either laugh or smile awkwardly at a joke he might have just told them.”

The Sex and the City star adopted her son when he was 7, an amazing and difficult age to adopt, but the two seemed to bond instantly and remain very close, despite Garson repeating himself. His father tells him the same jokes all the time but his delivery is always spot on.
“I used to hear the same 3 or 4 dad jokes from the time I moved out at 7 until I was 15. So at least a hundred times each joke and I would beg him for a new joke,” he remembers. “Now, though, I won’t be disappointed to hear him tell the same joke a thousand or even a million more times.”

Nathen shared that since his father’s death, he sometimes gets lost in grief and selfishness but, he quickly remembers how his father raised him. “He taught me to care about others and showed me how to love when all I knew was to fight for myself and only care about myself.”
He lost sight of that mercy for a moment. “After he died, I realized I was going to be selfish again and not the person he had raised me to be.” Nathen reiterated that he misses his best friend very much but he knows that moving forward is the key to continued happiness for him.
“It’s important to look back on the past, but it’s just as easy to get stuck in the past. It is more important to remember that there is also tomorrow and the future. As you move forward, be sure to smile and live life to the fullest…because no matter how much time you think you have, I promise you still do,” she wrote profoundly

Nathen ended his message by sharing one last lesson his father ever taught him.
“Say hi to strangers every once in a while because you never know when you might meet your next best friend. That’s how my dad met me. Thank you for all the teachings dad ❤️.”
He was greeted with absolute love and support from friends and family. Willie’s Sex and the City co-stars were among the first to show him virtual love.
