‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ Cast Reunite, Perform Viral Dance

David Henrie, Selena Gomez and Jake T. Austin are the stars of Disney Channel’s hit television show, “Wizards of Waverly Place.”

The show follows the Russo family, who may seem like an ordinary family with an ordinary restaurant, but behind closed doors, the three children all have magical powers and are training to compete to become the next family witch.

Several cast members recently got together and performed the viral “Wednesday” dance from the Netflix series “Wednesday” starring Jenna Ortega.

Both members of “Wizards of Waverly Place” jump on the viral “Wednesday” dance that Jenna Ortega actually choreographed herself.

Fans loved the video as one user commented, “well can we talk about how Alex and Harper are just an alternate universe of Wednesday and Enid.” As another follower said, “I never knew I needed this.”

A third user wrote, “I’m obsessed with this song now! Watched all the videos with that song so I could learn the dance ??.”

David Henrie Releases ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ Anniversary Tribute

MEGADavid Henrie, who plays Justin Russo on the Disney Channel show, remembers his time on “Wizards of Waverly Place” 15 years later.

“I can’t believe it’s been 15 years!!! What a special and important time in my life,” Henrie wrote on Instagram. “So grateful and blessed for all the memories, friends, and people who make the dreams of young people come true. Thanks to all the fans of the show for their support over the years. What I love about the show is that it’s a constant reminder that family can be messy, but family will always be there for you..”

He went on to tag “Wizards” co-stars Selena Gomez (Alex Russo), Jake T. Austin (Max Russo), Jennifer Stone (Harper Finkle), David Deluise (Jerry Russo), Maria Canals-Barrera (Theresa Russo), the show’s creator , Todd J. Greenwald, and producer and writer Peter Murrieta.

Henrie also tagged the official Disney and Disney+ Instagram accounts.

Will There Be a “Wizards of Waverly Place” Reboot?

In 2020, Selena Gomez and David Henrie hinted at a possible reboot for the popular Disney Channel show.

Henrie posted a video of herself to Instagram saying “Hmm..” and then panned the camera to show Selena Gomez who also just said “Hmm”. It left fans with so many questions – including co-star Gregg Sulkin, who commented “Hmmmm” to which Henrie responded with “hmm yes Gregg. Hmmm yes.”

And in 2019, Henrie spoke to ET, saying that he and Gomez talk about a reboot “all the time.”

“We have an overall view. We have everything,” said Henrie. “We want to start the show like a few years later; start them in the worst place so that throughout the series you give them a nice, beautiful reunion arch. Start them falling apart.”

Regarding where the characters will be in the reboot, Henrie shared, “Alex is a fashionista, killing it in some other part of the universe. Justin, like, the principal who has a family now, WizTech. Max has a sub-shop, but it’s broken … We all start out really discombobulated and then throughout the series you bring us all together.”
