Woman disguised as nurse seen stealing newborn from hospital, stashing baby in backpack

A woman posing as a nurse has been caught on camera allegedly stealing a newborn baby from an El Salvador hospital – before daringly hiding the baby in a rucksack and fleeing.

Heartbreaking surveillance footage captured the alleged undercover nurse cradling the baby in her arms as she walked through the maternity unit at the San Juan de Dios hospital in San Miguel last Saturday.

The woman, who was dressed in scrubs, allegedly told the baby’s mother that she was taking the baby to be immunized.
