A woman spent nearly 15 hours stranded in her overturned car after floodwaters swept her off a California road and into a nearby creek.
Exciting footage shows rescuers lifting the woman out of the strong water and into the safety of a helicopter around 10am on Tuesday.
He can be seen eagerly calling a California Highway Patrol pilot after spending the entire night trapped in nothing but the clothes on his back to keep him warm.

The woman was rushed to a local hospital, where she was treated for hypothermia, but is expected to make a full recovery, the Alameda County Fire Department said.
The woman landed herself in a terrifying situation around 7:30 p.m. earlier when she tried to drive across a flooded road inside Del Valle Provincial Park, about 20 miles east of Fremont.
He underestimated how deep the water was after a recent storm hit the area and was quickly swept away and capsized in the dark.
“He had to swim out of the vehicle,” fire battalion chief Kent Carlin told WATE.
“[She] climb into the vehicle, then wait for him to come out.”
The woman lost her mobile phone and other belongings when her car overturned, meaning she herself had no way to call for help.

Luckily, a camper saw her the next day and called 911.
Fire officials prepared to deploy rescue swimmers and lower ladders to the overturned car before CHP’s Golden Gate Division Air Operations launched its helicopter.
“He was really enthusiastic and spoke coherently to us,” Carlin said. “I imagine at first when this happened it was quite a shock.”

The terrifying incident is an example of why motorists should avoid driving through water, especially after a rainstorm.
“It’s more powerful than you think. If it’s fast moving water, like in this situation, the water has a lot of power,” said the battalion chief.
