There is a strange situation that Yahoo users are facing at the dawn of the day. Users around the world cannot access Yahoo mail, chat, and other services. Yahoo itself has confirmed about the outage and efforts in the process to fix it.
Yahoo update at 10:10: Yahoo is down and online users can’t open it or access their emails.
Yahoo just reported the ongoing outage by tweeting:
“You may not be able to access some of our services, including email. Our top priority right now is to fix this. We appreciate your patience.”
“We understand how difficult this must be for you. We are working especially hard to fix this. Stay tuned for updates.”
What is the real story?
Yahoo is experiencing a massive outage this morning and users are facing difficulties in accessing their respective accounts. Even Yahoo websites don’t open.
The problem started at 7:30am when the thousands of Yahoo users collectively reported the downtime issue and seemed to be blocked by Yahoo. They also can’t access your inbox or open Yahoo websites.
The user who tried to access the Yahoo home page was met with the message “This site cannot be accessed. The server IP address of www.yahoo.com could not be found.”
The countries that faced the problem the most are Europe and some parts of the US.
On the Down Detector forum, a user writes “No Yahoo today, but I’ve never had this before. Does anyone know what the problem actually is?
The other added:Yahoo mail doesn’t work on my iPhone neither in the app nor on the website”.
Social networks are currently full of Yahoo posts users as are regurgitating their anger and frustration. One user tweeted “Does anyone know if yahoo mail is down? It’s not charging for me.”
The other added “The whole site is down and I get a ‘server not found’ message for any Yahoo address. How the hell can we use your mail (which I have had for 20 years) if there is no site?
Yahoo has now announced how and when this issue will be fixed. There is no update on how long this will remain and will annoy Yahoo users, so all users should remain calm until a fix is provided.
