In 2017, on the sets of the show ‘Dance Champions’, Yogesh’s father, Vipin Sharma, mentioned that Yogesh once asked for Rs. 500 of them to register for dance competitions; however, Vipin Sharma initially refused as he believed that Yogesh should prioritize his studies over dancing. Yogesh managed to get the registration amount from his mother and grandmother. Following Yogesh’s victory in the competition, his father’s perception changed and he became a pillar of support for him.
