Yuzvendra Chahal was born on 23 July 1990 in Jind, Haryana, India. At the age of 7, he started playing chess. However, he had difficulty finding sponsors, so he left the game and focused on Cricket. Initially, he started playing cricket as a medium-fast bowler but later he turned into a leg-spinner.

Career
He played chess at the National Level and participated in youth tournaments.
After he left chess, he started playing cricket at the domestic level. He was the first player to represent India in both chess and cricket. Yuzvendra made his first-class debut in November 2009 against Madhya Pradesh in Indore. Since 2009, he has played for Haryana in Ranji Matches. In 2013, he started his IPL career, playing for Mumbai Indians. In 2016, he was selected to the Indian Cricket Team in the 14-man squad for the tour of Zimbabwe. He made his international debut against Zimbabwe on 11 June 2016. He also made his T20 debut against the same team.
On 1 February 2017, playing against England, he became the first Indian bowler to take 5 wickets in a T20 match.

He takes ₹15 lakh for test matches, ₹6 lakh for ODI matches and ₹3 lakh for T20 matches. In IPL 2014, RCB bought him for a base price of ₹10 lakh. In IPL 2018, he was sold for ₹6 crore.
