Following McCurdy’s book, others have come forward, speaking out against the company — including actress Alexa Nicholas, best known for appearing on Nickelodeon’s “Zoey 101,” who shared that “she didn’t feel safe” during her tenure on the series before this. year. Nikolas also claimed that Schneider had a framed picture of Jamie Lynn Spears with “goo” on her face, which he described as “an obscene money shot.”

Now, in a more recent interview, Nikolas expanded on his time with Nickelodeon, talking specifically about the show’s creator, Dan Schneider, 56, who is also the creator of various shows for the network including “Victorious” and “iCarly.”

“Whenever I have a wardrobe fitting, [Schneider] always have to be in it,” said Nikolas during an interview with Victoria Garrick at Real Pods podcasts. “Thank God there was a curtain, but he was actually on a chair right outside the curtain. I had to wear a very short skirt. Something that [in] an interview I’ve done that I haven’t mentioned is that I had to wear bike shorts under my skirt, and they had to cut the bike shorts off because the skirt was too short. … I always have to take these bike shorts down.”

Alexa Nicholas wasn’t the only star to come forward after McCurdy released her memoir “I’m Glad My Mother Died”.

Per DiversityDaniella Monet who portrays Trina Vegas on Nickelodeon’s “Victorious,” tells Insider that Dan Schneider, often ignores Nickelodeon’s standards department:

Schneider is known for pushing the boundaries of children’s TV, often “thumbing his nose” in the Nickelodeon standards department and ramping up the series’ sexual innuendo, including a scene in which goo is squirted in the face of a young actor. When it came to choosing the clothes, Schneider “signed all the clothes” and “campaigns[ed] for smaller options,” the report said.

Monet went on to explain that some of her outfits on the Nickelodeon show were “age-inappropriate” and that she “wouldn’t wear those outfits today as an adult”:

“Do I wish certain things, like, didn’t have to be so sexual? Yes, 100 percent,” she said, recalling the time when she contacted Nickelodeon about her character eating an orange while wearing lip gloss. The Follow Your Heart star claims she voiced concerns that the moment was too sexual to air, but was ignored by the network.
