“Not Okay” star Zoey Deutch has joined the growing list of celebrities whose homes have been broken into and valuables stolen. The Disney alum rose to fame for her recurring role on “The Suite Life on Deck” over the past decade and several other titles such as “The Politician” and “The Outfit.”
Breaking into celebrities’ homes and making off with their belongings has happened more often than not in recent years, with Tamara Ecclestone’s robbery in 2019 being the most notable. The British model has reportedly been robbed of £26 million worth of jewels and is desperate enough to put out a £6 million reward for their return.
According to reports, Deutch was not home at the time of the robbery and discovered the break-in when he returned home. More than a quarter of a million dollars was reportedly stolen from him in cash and jewelry.

In a recent report by TMZ“Not Okay” star Deutch returned to his Los Angeles home to find his door broken into. Upon checking, the actress realized that her home was a mess and around $300,000 in cash and jewelry had been made off with by thieves.
The incident reportedly happened earlier this month, and Deutch was only out for a few hours. He did not reveal his intention to leave his home on social media; Therefore, it is unclear how exactly the robbers knew of his absence and attacked.
TMZ further disclosed that no robbery-related arrests had been made; however, police are now trying to identify the thief through video taken in Deutch’s neighborhood.

The 27-year-old Deutch is just the latest robbery attack to target celebrities. follow TMZ, in an incident last month, rapper Tee Grizzley was robbed of more than a million dollars in cash and jewelry. At the time, the rapper was mourning the passing of his friend, PnB, but that didn’t seem to stop the robbers.
At the time of the LA break-in, no one was home, and the stolen jewelry alone was worth over a million. In addition to the stolen cash, Grizzley may have lost nearly $2 million.
Arsenio Hall, best known for his role in “Coming to America,” also recently faced not one but two robbery attempts between August and October. Both times, the talk show host was at his home, and the robbers were apparently scared enough to abandon the robbery. Police are reportedly investigating the possibility that the break-in is a related incident.
Zoey Deutch Starring in ‘Not Okay’
Deutch’s latest film, “Not Okay,” was released in July of this year and sees the actress playing an aspiring writer named Danny Sanders. The film was written and directed by Quinn Shepherd, who also stars in the project. Actors like Dylan O’Brien and Mia Isaac are also part of the film’s cast.
“Not Okay” tells the story of Sanders’ life and his attempts to be noticed and loved by Colin (O’Brien), who likes his work. He works for a site called Depravity as a photo editor. Things began to change after Sanders faked a writer’s retreat to Paris in an attempt to alleviate his loneliness and increase his popularity on social media.
Sanders became more famous than he expected after several terrorist attacks took place in Paris during the period he claimed to be in the city. Deutch’s character tries to keep up with his already long list of lies in an effort to maintain a facade.

In a previous interview with Insider, Deutch revealed that he didn’t have to do a lot of digging about his role in “Not Okay” mainly because he has a lot of experience with the downside of social media and its influence. The 27-year-old revealed that she takes “so much all the time.”
Deutch explained, “The film is satirical, and it sometimes pokes fun at different corners of our culture, and I’m one of them. I’m a part of this. So it’s not at all an erasure of anybody; it’s a commentary on a lot of things.”
The “Vampire Academy” actor further revealed that he and Shepherd talked to several people who “cancelled” to get them to play a role in the film. Deutch said the search is for “people who are actually undone and who are willing and interested in being self-deprecating and self-aware.”
Although every conversation seemed like they were making progress, the actor was informed by the “Not Okay” studio that people refused to participate in the film. “It’s funny,” he said. “We feel deceived by them. They lied to us.”
