Zoya Nasir is a Pakistani actress, makeup artist and entrepreneur who came into limelight when she made her television debut with the show Hania (2019) in which she played the lead role. As a beautician, she runs her own chain of salons in Miami, New York, and Lahore.

My father, Nasir Adeeb, makes films so I basically grew up on set.”
He furthered his studies at Lahore College of Arts And Sciences (LACAS), Pakistan. Later, she also followed a course in Cosmetology.

At a very early age, Zoya got married and moved to England to live with her husband. At the age of 21, she divorced her husband and returned to Pakistan. Later, she met Christian Betzmann, a German travel vlogger.

In May 2021, he broke off his relationship with Betzmann after he weighed in on the issue of Israel and Palestine where he criticized Pakistan’s stance. In one note, Betzmann wrote,

Before pursuing a career in acting, Zoya worked as the creative head at Sabs Salon in Lahore, Pakistan. Later, she moved back to England where she held a position as a product developer for a makeup company. After that, she moved to the US, where she continued her studies in the field of cosmetology. She has three salons in Miami, Boston and New York. After earning a degree in cosmetology, she moved from America to Pakistan.
As an Actor
In 2019, Zoya Nasir made her television debut with the Pakistani soap opera Hania in which she played the lead role of a compromised wife who tolerates domestic violence and is victimized by those around her.

In November 2020, Zoya Nasir was criticized by her fans and followers for wearing a body-hugging Halloween costume, which offended some religious fanatics in Pakistan.

Apparently, on November 1, 2020, Zoya’s boyfriend, Christian Betzmann, uploaded a picture on his Instagram account with Zoya Nasir wearing a tight Halloween costume. After that, the Pakistani actress became the target of hate speech in the comment section of Instagram posts for wearing indecent clothes and embracing western cultural norms.

- Since childhood, Zoya wanted to be an actress, but she started her career as a makeup artist because in the 90s acting was not considered a reputable career for women in Pakistan. In an interview, he said,
Around the 90s, acting was never an option to consider because it had been frowned upon in the past. So, I leaned on the make-up side and channeled my love of acting, poetry and music into canvas painting. It was suppressed but I always knew I wanted to be an artist.”
