Birth & Early Life
Zuri Adele was born on April 10, 1990, in Boston, Massachusetts. He developed an interest in acting and acting at a young age. Adele attended Spelman College in Atlanta where she began her formal theater training. He continued his studies at the prestigious British American Drama Academy in London.
Adele later gained acceptance into the inaugural interdisciplinary graduate acting program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is currently pursuing an MFA in Acting at UCLA as one of eight actors selected for the highly competitive program.
Prior to UCLA, some of Adele’s notable early performances included starring opposite Josephine Baker in the 2013 world premiere of La Perle Noire and participating in a staged reading of Da Kink in My Hair with Angie Stone, Melanie Fiona and Terri J. Vaughn at the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta .
Career
Adele began her acting career in 2010 with a role in the short film Russian Roulette. This marked the beginning of a busy career in film and television. Her breakout role came in 2013 when she was cast in the CBS sci-fi series Under the Dome playing the role of Mother. Adele continued to take on projects in shorts and TV movies such as The Social Worker (2014), Plenty (2016), and CREAM & Butter (2018).
In 2019, she landed her most famous role as Malika Williams in the Freeform series Good Trouble. As of 2023, Adele has starred as Malika on Good Trouble for over 78 episodes spanning several seasons.
