Tammy Slaton, star of the TLC reality series, ‘1000-Lb Sisters’, was recently seen breaking some of her health rules while running a grocery store with her sister Amy. The photos show Tammy vaping as she and Amy head to their car with bags of snacks and toys.
Tammy had previously quit smoking, drinking, and vaping after spending nearly 14 months in rehab. The reality star lost nearly 300 pounds during that time, cutting in half her previous size.
She also underwent bariatric surgery to aid her weight loss, which has helped her lose 150 pounds. Since her return from rehab, Tammy has moved into a new apartment, which has been in her family for years.

According to photos obtained by the US Sun, Tammy and her sister Amy were recently spotted on a shopping trip to Walmart. The image shows the couple arriving at a grocery store near their Kentucky town to do some Easter shopping.
In the photo, Tammy is connected to her oxygen tank as she rides her electric scooter while Amy walks beside her. The sisters were at the supermarket for almost two hours and emerged with several carts full of candy, toys, chips, and various drinks.
The photo shared by the publication also shows Tammy taking a drag from her electric vape as she moves around the parking lot. The news that she is still blowing many disappointed fans, who believed the reality star had honestly called it quits.
He Previously Quit Smoking After Rehab

Previous report by US Sun stated that Tammy had quit smoking after she spent nearly 14 months staying at a weight loss rehabilitation clinic. Sources at the time claimed the reality star had abstained from smoking, alcohol, and vaping for over nine months and had successfully overcome the addiction.
A previous episode of “1000-Lb Sisters” featured Tammy’s revelation that she used to drink eight bottles of alcohol every week. He also opened up about constantly eating junk food and vaping, all of which made his doctor fear for his health and life. In the finale for the third season, Tammy has a scary episode where she stops breathing after a party.
Tammy Slaton Has Lost Almost Half Her Weight
By the time she finished her 14-month stay at an Ohio rehab clinic, Tammy weighed about 400 pounds, nearly half of her previous weight. She previously weighed about 700 pounds, which means Tammy has managed to lose a staggering 300 pounds.
The weight loss was also fueled by Tammy’s decision to admit herself back into rehab in 2021. A friend of the reality show told US Sun, “When Tammy first went through rehab, she needed to reach her goal weight of 550 pounds from around 700 pounds to be approved for her bariatric surgery.”
By the fourth season of the TLC show, Tammy had reached the required weight for her bariatric surgery and was approved. She had it done in the Summer of 2022, and her friends are now claiming that the reality star has lost about 150 pounds since the surgery.
He Moved To A New House
After returning to Kentucky, Tammy moved into a new place, a two-bedroom apartment, the family property. According to records US Sun acquired, the site has been in Tammy’s extended family for more than 18 years.
A family member reportedly decided to help Tammy with the house because her former place was broken into and robbed. The two-bedroom apartment is located about 10 miles from her old home and is furnished with modest spaces and front and back porches with beautiful views.
The house also has a fenced backyard, with space for Amy’s children, Glenn and Gage, to play and make family memories. Most likely Amy and her children will spend more time with Tammy as she is currently busy with her divorce from her husband, Michael Halterman.
