$300 Helped TikToker And Podcast Host Bobbi Althoff Get Into Drake’s Bed!

Weeks after her interview with Drake went viral on various social media platforms, TikToker and host of “The Really Good Podcast” Bobbi Althoff talked about how she landed in Drake’s bed to interview the rapper.

Long-time TikTok followers may recognize her as the young mother who calls her sons Richard and Concrete. He is now also known for his dry, deadpan, but at the same time relatable and funny interview style. Althoff recently opened up about how he got here, how the Drake interview came about, and how Snoop Dogg played into his whole story.

Althoff recently sat down with Cosmopolitan to discuss his podcast and he’s finally where he is today. As for his Drake interview, it all started with $300 and a dream.

“When I started my podcast in April, I wanted to do celebrity interviews, but I didn’t know how I was going to get there. It’s really hard to get guests, so I made a video on TikTok saying that I’ll give $300 to anyone who can hook me up with a celebrity for a podcast,” he told Cosmopolitan.

“Rick Glassman, the comedian, was the first person I got to interview because somebody tagged him, and he said, ‘Okay, I’ll do it.’ So I sent him $300 and did the episode with Rick Glassman.

Then a comment on one of his TikTok videos asked if he had heard of comedian Funny Marco. He took a screenshot of the comment and posted it on his Instagram Stories and tagged it, saying, “Marco, if you want to make this girl $300, DM me.”

“He had over 4 million followers at the time, and I only had 500,000. I was like, ‘He’s not going to see this.’ But she answered, like, a second later,” he said. “So I sent the girl $300 and she came on the podcast. Our video together got a lot of views, and Drake loved it. Then he followed me.”

That’s when Althoff decided to reach out to Drake in hopes of getting an interview.

“I decided to go for it and shoot my shot. I DM’d Drake and asked if he wanted to be on my podcast, and he said yes,” he continued. “He sent me his tour schedule, and I knew I had to do it fast, so my friend and I flew to Memphis for two days after the original DM was sent to record the episode.”

And yes, he’s interviewing Drake in the comfort of his bed. Check out Drake’s interview HERE.

Bobbi Althoff Has A Very Specific Interview Style

Althoff is known for his engaging approach to interviewing. He said he was more of an entertainer and comedian than a journalist.

“There’s no preparation, and that’s what’s fun. I think that’s why celebrities can’t wait to do it,” he said. “They knew it was a character, and we just put it on. It’s not a real interview. I’m not trying to get hard information on you – I’m not trying to reveal anything. It’s just a conversation. It’s a really good interview parody.”

He continued by saying, “The podcast is supposed to be entertaining. It’s fun for the fans to see my guests in a way they’re not used to seeing.”

So who does he want to interview next?

“I love Post Malone. I want to interview him,” he said. “And then Tyler Hoechlin from ‘Teen Wolf.’ He went to the same high school as me.”

Where Does Snoop Dogg Come Into This Story?

Although Althoff is far from a nepo baby, he credits his dad for the way Snoop Dogg entered this chat.

“My dad is a contractor, and he worked on Snoop Dogg’s neighbor’s house. Someone from Snoop Dogg’s team asked if he would do a job for them – he threw out a set of doors. Instead of taking them to the dump, my dad just kept them. They are really in his house now,” he explained.

“That was my claim to fame for so long, that we had Snoop Dogg’s door. When we became very poor, my father would sell everything. There was a time when I came home and my bed frame was gone because he needed money. Those doors, we never got rid of.”
