It is clear that the accused kidnapper Craig Ross Jr. planned ahead of time to kidnap 9-year-old Charlotte Sena from a park she was visiting with her family over the weekend, a family friend claims.
“It’s clear that this person has some premeditated aspirations,” Patrick Cane told “Fox & Friends” Tuesday morning, after Ross was indicted on kidnapping charges.
“I think he might be aware of them,” he suggested Ross’ knowledge of the Sena family.
Ross lives just two miles from the family’s Charlotte home, according to the address listed on his vehicle registration, Gov. Kathy Hochul said at a news conference Monday night.
But it remains unclear whether Ross specifically targeted Charlotte or if he randomly chased her when she was alone for a few minutes while riding her bike through Moreau Lake State Park, where she was camping with her family on Saturday.

Police will spend the day questioning Ross to see if he has been stalking Charlotte, if he is a pedophile or if he is just a criminal trying to cash in on her ransom, Newsweek reported.
They will also speak to his family and friends about his whereabouts and character, while comparing his DNA to a database of child abduction cases as he remains in jail without bail.
Police have confirmed that Ross is not a registered sex offender, but reports in the Saratogian claim a man with the same name and age was arrested and charged with felony respiratory arrest in 2017.
Ross was taken into custody late Monday after law enforcement officials were able to match fingerprints left on the ransom note to those he surrendered when he was arrested in Saratoga in 1999 on a DWI charge.
Two law enforcement teams in a helicopter descended on the Ballston Spa address where the suspect had pitched his tent behind his mother’s house and arrested him “after some resistance” at about 6:30 p.m., Hochul said.
“Immediately the little girl was found in the cabinet closet,” the governor said. “He was saved and he knew he was being saved. He knows that he is in safe hands.”

The girl’s parents were told she was rescued and appeared to be “physically unharmed,” but was still taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

Speaking on “Fox & Friends” Tuesday morning, Cane said the young woman is doing “very, very well.
“If you met his parents, you’d say he’s going to be fine,” he claimed. “His parents are the reason he is the way he is.
“His father, who I knew well, was always upbeat — he was a fun guy,” Cane said.
“There will be healing, of course, but it’s a beautiful story for a great family.”
