Rapper A$AP Rocky and singer Rihanna are reportedly going through a tough time.
The duo have been together since 2020 and have welcomed two children. According to reports, the ongoing problems in their marriage are due to Rocky’s upcoming criminal trial on firearms and assault-related charges.
The allegations stemmed from an argument between the rapper and his former friend, Relli. If found guilty, Rocky faces up to two decades in prison.

Recent reports circulating indicate that Rihanna’s romance with A$AP Rocky is facing challenges.
Despite growing their family with two sons, RZA and Rio, since they started dating in 2020, the couple hasn’t been in the best place in recent months. The friction is said to stem from Rocky’s upcoming gun-related trial, stemming from an incident involving him and a friend in 2021.
“They start fighting all the time because he has no patience for anything,” a source said of Rocky and Rihanna’s relationship, according to National Enquirer (Online Radar). They added that “the rapper’s mood is really bad right now.”
The source also stated that the celebrity couple’s sex life has declined due to their issues.
“Before the mess with this trial, they could barely stay away from each other, but their sex life is non-existent these days. They are both too stressed,” claimed the insider.
Rihanna Allegedly Fears Being A Single Mother

According to insiders, Rihanna knows that a conviction at the end of the trial means she will spend the better part of the next decade as a single mother. This possibility made him feel “really scared”, along with the fact that it would imply that he would be separated from Rocky for a long time.
Apparently, the rapper has also distanced himself from his father’s duties during this period. According to reports, he often leaves the house to hang out with friends when they are in trouble, and Rihanna is not happy with this action.
“Every time they fight, he uses it as an excuse to avoid and hang out with friends, while Rihanna is stuck at home with mommy duties,” the insider added. “No wonder he’s touched!”

In August 2022, Rocky was charged with two counts of assault with a firearm. It happened after he was arrested for an argument involving him and his childhood friend Relli outside the W Hotel in West Hollywood.
In November 2023, a hearing was held on whether there was enough evidence for the case to proceed. At that time, Relli stood up, recounting how Rocky had thrown a gun at him during their argument.
“He grabbed me by my collar. He shook me. I tried to push him away, let go of his hand,” said Relli, per Hollywood life. “That’s the time [Rocky] pulled a gun from his waist. It is a standard clip on semi-automatic black pistol. He pointed it at my stomach.”
Relli continued, saying that the “Praise God” rapper uttered the words, “I’m going to kill you now,” before firing several shots at him.
When Is A$AP Rocky’s Trial Date?

Based on “the entire video and testimony” of the incident, the court ruled that there was enough evidence to move the case to trial, setting a date of January 8, 2024.
In a statement to the press, Rocky’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, insisted that his client is innocent and will prove it during the trial.
“We are not disappointed, not surprised, we expect to go to trial, we have been planning for trial all along,” the lawyer said. “Rocky will be vindicated when this is all said and done, without question.”
At the time, Tacopina also shut down speculation about whether Rocky wanted Rihanna at his trial.
“He would never let his family down, he wanted to protect them, he handled it like Rocky would handle anything, he protected his family,” Tacopina said.
Rocky faces up to 24 years in prison if convicted of the charge. He is also involved in a civil suit filed against him by Relli, who is currently in custody pending the outcome of his criminal case.
