Shoplifting Bobbie Jean Arrest Reveals Deeper Struggle
Prior to his death, the late TV personality found himself at the center of legal turmoil in June after being arrested for allegedly shoplifting at an arts and crafts store in Florida. The incident took place at Hobby Lobby in Brooksfield, Florida, where he was reportedly caught trying to collect $55 worth of stickers and craft items.
The police report, as revealed by Page Six, shows that the situation worsened when he was escorted by the police to the office. Bobbie Jean allegedly “frantically grabbed her purse, pulled out a powder blue container and threw it under the LP (loss prevention) table.”
The container containing 0.8 grams of purple powder and 1.3 grams of white powder was later confirmed to contain fentanyl through field testing.
Bobbie Jean was held on a $500 bond for the retail theft charge, with a court appearance scheduled for July 10. Meanwhile, the possession of a controlled substance charge carries a $2,000 bond, with a court date set for July 13.
