Aaron Rodgers experimented with ayahuasca to help overcome his fear of death and learn how to love himself.
The Fear of Aaron Rodgers’ Death
The Green Bay Packers quarterback appeared on The Pat McAfee Show, where he has no issue sharing that he takes psychedelic drugs to help develop his mind. But for him, it was more than that.
“I must have had a great fear of death. Ayahuasca and psilocybin really helped me with that,” he admits, of the psychoactive concoction from South America, and psilocybin, a hallucinogenic substance found in some types of mushrooms.
The show’s co-host AJ Hawk asked the athlete if he was “scared to death.” Rodgers insists that his fears have been around for a long time.
Aaron Rodgers Believes Y2K Made Him Paranoid
Rodgers admits that throughout the Y2K disaster, when everyone was talking about death if they started thinking about it, he started thinking about death and his own death in particular dying young.
“When you’ve seen the other side, it makes the idea of death more of a passage and less of an end and more of the next chapter of life.” Specifically, he is not talking about “life and death” but rather, “the veil between the visible world and the invisible world.”
McAfee was inspired by Rodgers’ way of thinking, “that’s sweet, man.” Rodgers continues to promote the use of Ayahuasca and claims to him, it is not a drug. It is listed as a “plant-based psychedelic.”

The 39-year-old hopes to remove the stigma surrounding psychedelic drugs in the near future by removing them from the drug category. He believes it generates a “certain bias” towards the material.
Rodgers talks about his use of useful materials in the past. In September, she said, “I think it’s important to go on this ridiculous tangent of how words are used to create bias,” she continued, “That bias creates fear and that fear prevents people from doing their own research or doing their own research. their own ideas and truths in a situation.”

He went to The Aubrey Marcus Podcast and emphasized how great the medicine was for him. In addition to her learning how to “love unconditionally” herself, she believes it is one of the best things for her own mental health.
“For me, one of the core principles of your mental health is self-love,” she continues, “that’s what ayahuasca did for me, helped me see how to love myself unconditionally.” Rodgers has his own supplement company called Onnit and could see himself using this ingredient to help others.
“Only in that unconditional self-love can I truly be able to love others unconditionally.” Rodgers pointed out, “what better way to deal with my mental health than to have that kind of experience?”
Followers of the show wanted to have their own Ayahuasca experience after hearing Rodgers praise it.
“Leave it to AJ to ask the best non-football related question I’ve heard in a long time. I’ve heard ayahuasca has that effect on ppl. Sounds like a good experience from what I’ve heard. Ron white said good things about it too,” one follower wrote.
“I want to go anywhere” claimed another.
