When he turned 18, he began using various drugs including amphetamines to lose weight; however, his weight continued to increase causing him depression. His weight then increased to more than 100 kg, and he was also addicted to alcohol and drugs.

In her late 30s, she began her natural weight loss journey that included exercise and diet. In a social media post on her blog Drika Da Blog, she mentioned that she never consulted a dietician for her diet.

Adriana Thyssen died on September 17, 2023 at her home in Uberlândia, Brazil at the age of 49. Although the cause of his death was not disclosed, his family confirmed the news of his death. He was buried in Araguari on 18 September 2023.
