Lisa Ann, an adult movie star, caused a scene at comedian Matt Rife’s show at Radio City Music Hall. Ann was allegedly so disruptive that she was arrested and forced out of the comedy show. On Sunday night, he posted about the incident on X, formerly known as Twitter, and shared his side of the story.
His tweet read, “So I got dragged out of the @mattrife show tonight in handcuffs, saying I was on my phone. I don’t use my phone. I just enjoyed the show. 45 minutes handcuffed, sent to an ambulance and released. In the meantime I miss the show that I was really looking forward to.”
Ann shared a video of NYPD officers escorting her out of the hall along with the tweet. In it, she screams, “I didn’t do anything wrong! I didn’t touch my phone! I want to see Matt Rife because he’s my friend…and I’m going to jail!”
His comment on the video read, “This. Do. no. A little. Real life, I got caught tonight at @mattrife’s show at Radio City Music Hall #wtf.” In a follow-up tweet, Ann explained to her fans that she was only detained briefly, and the police released her about 45 minutes later.
Adult Entertainer Accused of Disruption on Show
Sources from the Rife show spoke to New York Post about how Ann allegedly behaved on the show, which led to her arrest. They explained that he was recording the show with his phone, which was not allowed, and refused to stop when asked. At that point the NYPD got involved and asked him to leave.
The source said that Ann “wasn’t removed for the phone, she was removed because she was disruptive.” They added, “He was very disorganized. He started getting loud, the police were there, and he started kicking them.”
Footage obtained and shared by the news outlet showed Ann using her phone before police approached her and asked her to leave. He is then shown throwing up his hands and defying all peaceful efforts to leave the hall. It is likely at this point that the adult movie star was arrested and dragged out.
Matt Rife Has Had a String of Scandals

Ann’s arrest at his comedy show was just another scandal that Rife has experienced in his comedy career. The 28-year-old, who quickly rose to fame through his viral comedy videos on TikTok, came under fire in November 2023 for his jokes about domestic violence in his Netflix Comedy Special.
As the special began, Rife shared a story of going to a Baltimore restaurant with a friend and being served by a waiter with a black eye. He explained that they questioned why the owner of the place did not ask the woman to work in the kitchen instead to avoid questions and concerns from customers.
Later, Rife joked, “Yeah, but I guess if he could cook, he wouldn’t have a black eye.” The joke was not well received by the public, leading Rife to say that he shared the story to “test the water” about their fun.

As soon as the special premiered, the criticism spread to social media, especially X and TikTok. One viewer wrote, “It’s not Matt Rife who built his platform to cater to his female audience and then opened his Netflix special with a domestic violence joke.”
Another tweeted, “The way women catapulted Matt Rife to fame, and the second he got a comedy special on Netflix, he promptly betrayed them with a joke about crazy domestic violence.”
He was also criticized for refusing to apologize and making fun of children with special needs.
