Aerosmith Cancels Another Show Due To Steven Tyler’s Health

Aerosmith fans are having a hard time lately!

The American rock group, consisting of Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer, and Brad Whitford, has an ongoing residency scheduled to run from September to December. Unfortunately, they had to cancel their planned Friday night show in Las Vegas at the Dolby Live theater due to the sudden illness of their lead vocalist.

Via Instagram, the team posted a statement that read, “It is with great disappointment that we have to cancel tonight’s show in Las Vegas due to Steven feeling unwell and unable to perform.”

Sounding optimistic, they stated that the 74-year-old is expected to make a full recovery for the next show scheduled for Monday night as they once again apologized for the last-minute announcement.

They concluded by assuring fans that they would be refunded, writing, “Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster.com will be automatically refunded. All other refunds will be available at the time of purchase.”

This isn’t the first cancellation the band has had to make because of Tyler, as earlier this year, The Blast reported that fans were made to say goodbye to seeing them perform that summer for the same reason.

According to reports, the “Sweet Emotion” singer checked herself into rehab voluntarily after relapsing on drugs through pain medication for her injured leg. The Boston native band confirmed the news in a statement, writing:

They went on to explain the reason for the relapse, saying, “After leg surgery to prepare for the stage and need for pain management during the process, he recently relapsed and voluntarily entered a treatment program to focus on his health and recovery. “

The “Get Your Wings” stars apologized to their fans for canceling their first set of residencies for June and July. They stated that the reason for doing so was to allow their beloved team members to focus on getting better while announcing that they would be back for the September show.

Aerosmith voiced their displeasure, especially to their loyal fans who would travel from far away just to see them perform live. They ended the lengthy message by thanking their followers for supporting Tyler.

The message also contains information about where they can get their refund. Despite the bad news, fans were quick to respond to the post with comments showing love for the “Walk This Way” singer, writing, “You got this! Stay strong,” “Prayers for a healthy recovery stay strong ?,” “Glad he knows to ask for help, sending thoughts of a successful recovery!” “You are loved ❤️! Sending you ? & ?,” among others.

Sources shared that he has a fresh appearance and is at a healthy weight, indicating that he has made some progress in the rehabilitation facility. Despite the high hopes, they also noted that the “We’re All Somebody From Somewhere” star is very aware of her addiction and knows it’s a struggle she needs to take care of for a while.

With his recent struggles, fans are made to remember that he has struggled with sobriety for a very long time recalling when his bandmates intervened for him in 1988 by sending him to rehab while they went on vacation.

Although she was upset about it at the time and even years later, the “Dream On” singer later thanked them for trying to help her get sober.
