Stuntman Jonathan Goodwin has taken legal action against NBC and “America’s Got Talent” following a horrific on-set injury in 2021, which nearly claimed his life.

Goodwin, who appeared in the “AGT: Extreme” version of the show, which, at the time, promised to provide viewers with daring, terrifying, and extreme stunts, nearly lost his life after a stunt gone wrong.

According to court documents obtained by ExplosionGoodwin claimed that the show’s actors planned, controlled and interfered in her performances, leading to near-fatal accidents on set.

Goodwin claims he was seriously injured after dislocating his spinal cord, suffering third degree burns, breaking his leg, ribs and shoulder and losing his left kidney.

He is suing NBC for damages, adding that they failed to implement or follow industry safety standards.
