The popular weather forecaster has made it clear that nothing can stop him and stay away from the “Today” family for too long. On her Instagram page, she shared a video set for Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family (1995 Remaster).” In it, the journalist can be seen posing happily with his friends with different backgrounds for the shoot. He captioned it:
“Just say what the doctor said. Seeing my @todayshow friends @williegeist @sheinelle_o @jennabhager @hodakotb @craigmelvinnbc @dylandreyernbc @kristen.welker @peteralexandertv @savannahguthrie and @carsondaly for a fun shoot today was so fun. #we are family.”

Earlier, Roker marked his return with a fun surprise that made some of his co-hosts laugh. As show hosts Craig Melvin, Sheinelle Jones, and Dylan Dreyer wrapped up their wine segment, they were surprised by the 68-year-old’s sudden appearance.
A menacing off-camera laugh that matched his on-brand humor caught Dreyer’s eye, causing him to scream and put down his wine glass. The host immediately realized it was Roker and gave him a warm hug, with Melvin welcoming him and expressing his delight, saying, “What’s up bro? Nice to see you!”
Dressed in a navy blazer, pink polo shirt, matching trousers, black and white shoes and a white fedora, the actor approached his shocked friends, using a cane for support.
The TV personality has come a long way since her surgery, based on previous posts where she was involved in physiotherapy. In the video, set perfectly to the Dire Straits song, “Walk Of Life,” the “Another World” actor holds a walker and takes careful steps under the watchful eye of a nurse along a hospital corridor.
Dressed in a hospital gown, she practiced walking down makeshift stairs while holding a cane. Alongside the clip, she wrote, “Woke up and walking this morning on #newknee #stepbystep thanks to @drddavidmayman Wearing a negative pressure pump to help facilitate wound healing.”

In a series of events that occurred in November, Roker was hospitalized after a blood clot was found in his leg. The veteran weatherman’s condition worsened when the lump broke into pieces, traveling to his lungs.
However, after a stressful few weeks, he returned home just in time to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner. In a happy moment captured in a moving video, The Blast reports that as she left the hospital in triumph, she excitedly said:
“This is my version of the Thanksgiving Day parade. Get ready to leave the hospital. Time to blow this taco stand.”
In another update, he shared a photo of himself and his wife, Deborah Roberts, and their three children — Courtney, Leila, and Nicolas sitting at the dining table. The second photo is an interesting selfie taken by the child himself.
Taking care of the voice actor was no mean feat, according to his wife, who was by his side the whole time. During the red carpet premiere of the documentary “Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields,” Roberts opened up about her experience caring for her husband.
The ABC News reporter playfully shared with ET that her husband is now “crazy” after her recovery. However, despite that lighthearted statement, she admits that being a nanny is very “overwhelming, exhausting, and scary.”
He emotionally expressed how difficult it was but was thankful that “he’s healthy, and we’re all healthy.” He thanked his friends and colleagues, whom he relied on during the difficult times.
