Actor Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, are celebrating their son Romeo’s 5th birthday.
The couple tied the knot in 2012 and welcomed their first of seven children the following year. In May 2018, the couple welcomed their third son and fourth child: Romeo Alejandro David. Although they originally planned to name him Diego, Hilaria revealed that she felt Diego was not the child’s real name shortly before she gave birth.
“He didn’t have a name for two days,” Hilaria told PEOPLE at the time. “The name we settled on all along was Diego, which I still really like. I told my kids, ‘Diego is coming,’ and they were all waiting for him.” However, she eventually decided to name him Romeo. Both parents took to Instagram to celebrate his birthday.

On Wednesday, the 65-year-old actor shared a snap featuring a close-up of his son’s face on Instagram. “Happy birthday, my angel…” she wrote in the caption as famous fans and friends wished her a happy birthday.
“Handsome little man with a wicked smile and his beautiful Mama’s brown eyes…Happy Birthday to you Romeo,” commented one fan. “Happy Birthday Romeo. You have a beautiful body!” shouted another follower.

In his Instagram tribute, the podcast host shared a long slideshow of photos and videos of Romeo throughout the years, from when he was a baby to when he was growing up. There are also lots of group photos including his siblings, and a video of his Pokémon-themed birthday cake.
“Romeo is 5 years old and we had the most magical day with him,” Hilaria wrote in the caption. “My brown-eyed twin, our sweet and funny human, our Romeo Alejandro David. We love you so much.” In the comments, Alec added, “I love you, Mimi.”
Fans also took to the comments to wish Romeo a happy birthday. “Happy 5th birthday!!!!! Very cute!!!” shouted a fan. “Beautiful. This Romeo. How much you love your family. He’s… your brown eyed boy,” another follower wrote. “Happy Birthday Romeo! Hope you have an amazing year!” the third fan sounds.

Although the “30 Rock” actor has finished his scenes for “Rust” in Montana and even shaved off his beard, the actor took a trip home to make sure he was there for his son’s big birthday party earlier this month.
In the caption, Hilaria wrote, “Alec is gone, filming, and our family has never been apart for so long. We brought him home for a day off, before he goes back to Montana. Grateful for our magical family photos and all the zoom moments that made us smile .”
“Also: someone else’s kid trying to buy a giant piñata in party town?!?? Little Ilaria was like: this wild family I met?!??” he asked. “Ps Carmen is dressed in edu, lu, her and me in white and red stripes with jeans…she is our little stylist captain.”

In his own Instagram post, the “Supercell” actor shared a photo of the same group, just from a different angle.
“A lot is happening in this photo. As usual. It’s Romeo’s birthday party. (real birthday May 17) Thank you to all my son’s friends/classmates who joined us,” he wrote in the caption. “I have never seen children eat more sweets in my life. They are like locusts. Grasshopper candy.”
