Actor Alec Baldwin missed his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, and young children, while he was away filming “Rust” at the Yellowstone Film Ranch in Montana.

Although the Western movie “Rust” was filming in New Mexico in October 2021, it moved operations to Montana following an incident in which a gun Alec Baldwin was holding on set misfired, striking and killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Director Joel Souza was also hospitalized but recovered and returned to finish directing the film.
On April 21, special prosecutors Kari Morrissey and Jason Lewis officially dismissed the involuntary manslaughter charge against Alec Baldwin without prejudice, meaning there is a possibility he will face criminal charges again.

“Over the past few days and in preparation for a preliminary hearing on May 3, 2023, new facts have come to light that demand further investigation and forensic analysis in the case against Alexander ‘Alec’ Rae Baldwin, III,” the two prosecutors wrote in a statement.
“Therefore, we cannot proceed under the current time constraints and based on the facts and evidence submitted by law enforcement in their current form,” they continued. “Therefore we will dismiss the charge of involuntary manslaughter against Mr. Baldwin pending further investigation.”
They concluded, “This decision does not absolve Mr. Baldwin of criminal wrongdoing and charges may be refiled. Our follow-up investigation will remain active and ongoing.”
