Actor Alec Baldwin shared a photo of his youngest child after forgetting to name his first child, Ireland Baldwin, in honor of his children.
The 65-year-old actor welcomed the 27-year-old model with his ex-wife, “Batman” actress Kim Basinger. He married his current wife, Hilaria Baldwin, in 2012 and welcomed their first daughter the following year.
The couple welcomed their youngest, Ilaria, in September 2022. Although she only entered the world about seven months ago, it looks like she’s ready to start walking!

On Sunday, the “Supercell” actor took to Instagram to share a photo of his youngest daughter, Ilaria, standing outside her crib. Hilaria sat next to him and appeared to be supporting his back. In the caption, Alec wrote, “All of our kids are crawling, standing, walking, and talking early. It’s a blessing and…well, you know. It’s Cirque de Soleil here every day. This is the newest addition to our troupe.”
“They can’t wait to join in the family fun! Once filled with love…it’s just ready..set… GO!! So, so beautiful!!” commented a fan. “She is the cutest little girl!!” another follower wrote. “He’s so small!” shouted a third fan. “Cuteness overload,” another follower shared. “Oh my god!!! That smile. He’s just the proudest little baby,” shared another fan.

However, not all comments are positive or supportive. “Isn’t he like 8 months old? It is a normal time for him to stand with such support,” commented one user. “You have too many children! Good sir. Stop,” another follower wrote, prompting fans to come to the Baldwin family’s defense.
“How sad is one’s life to post a negative/cynical comment on someone else’s page or follow someone you clearly disagree with or dislike? It is sad to see so many people suffering. Get therapy,” one user clapped. “I agree. It’s terrible,” wrote another follower. “Especially when the post is about children,” another fan agreed.
Alec calls his children ‘Seven Reasons to Keep Going During Hard Times’
Just two days ago, the “30 Rock” actor took to Instagram to share a carousel containing photos of all seven children he shares with Hilaria. “Seven reasons to carry on in difficult times. I’m not going to lie, without my family, I don’t know how I would live,” he wrote in the caption. However, many fans were quick to point out that she forgot a child.
“Don’t you have 8 children?” asked a fan. “Guess Ireland doesn’t count?” another follower asked. “Why do you say Ireland?” a third fan asked. “I’m sure your eldest is glad you left him,” another user commented. “You forgot one,” wrote another follower. “Don’t forget your first cutie, Ireland!” shouted another fan.
It seems the actor was reading the comments on his Instagram post, as he quickly followed it up with a black-and-white photo of Ireland. “We forgot Billy Preston! This one, the first one, will make me a grandfather. Oy,” he wrote in the caption. “Billy Preston” may be a nickname for Ireland, but it’s more likely a reference to how Billy Preston is often referred to as “The fifth Beatle” and is often forgotten.
“She is the most beautiful among them. How can you forget your firstborn? Yes,” commented one user. “‘We forgot the afterthought’? Awww come on. Even your caption doesn’t really love or care. Many children of ‘first marriages’ feel this way,” wrote another follower. “This must be a picture from ten years ago! He looks like he’s around 16 in this picture,” shared another fan.
However, there were some fans who came to his defense. “Leave him, he always includes him..rarely, when they mention the tribe they don’t mention him. Coming from an Irish American family with six kids, heck, forgot the name???! no problem!!!” commented one fan. “Dad often uses our dog’s name Pepper in place of anyone he forgets..! The truth is, this family cares about their children including Ireland…they follow their word. Love fills every day, it is a beautiful thing and leave them alone for heaven’s sake!!”
