In a chat with Nick Viall on “The Viall Files Podcast,” Holker discussed the grief she’s had to go through and her stance on finding love again after the Boss’s death.

He revealed that he had to “learn to love [herself]” and exercise if possible to fall in love again. At one point, she wonders if loving “someone else while I’m still in love with someone and loving someone else” is something she can handle.

The dancer then shared her perspective on love and life, stating, “It’s a very complex situation that I’m dealing with. It took me a long time to accept all that and the complexity of everything. But at the end of the day, I love life. So will I stay away from him?”

“Life and love are just things I’ve always believed in,” he added, per People’s Magazine.

The 35-year-old “So You Think You Can Dance” alum’s openness about her willingness to date again appears to come after a few moments of grieving and reflection.

In her conversation with Viall, Holker, despite not currently looking for a partner, stated that her outlook on life made it harder for her to accept the prospect of moving forward.

Holker discusses the emotional challenges he faced during the difficult times, which he had to overcome and put behind him.

“I have so many dark spaces that I have, that I have to be on top of different reasons, and I have to work through all these different processes of all these different things,” he confessed. “But, I have. “I’ve been working through them… you know, we’ll see what happens.”

“I talk to him very actively,” he said. “I talked to him almost every night for a long time.”

The new “So You Think You Can Dance” judge went on to share the nature of her conversations with the late Boss, stating, “It would be about anything and everything. It could be how it was today. Or I would get really upset and sometimes yell at him.

“There were times when I just screamed, and there were times when I was like, ‘Okay, I’m picking schools for the kids. What do you think of this school?’ And then, just wait for the answer. Yes. You know, so it’s a wide variety of things that we’re going to talk about,” added Holker.

Holker also opened up about the particular time he had his “biggest conversation” with her, which was “the most healing” for him.

“I was outside, and I was looking at the stars, and I said—whether it was necessary or not, I don’t know whether it was necessary or necessary—but I forgave it,” he said. “And I said, ‘I hope you find that peace.’ Like, really, I really hope he finds the peace he needs and he feels like he needs. You know? And that is a very difficult thing to do.”

Holker continued, “But I only have so much I want; I have to allow myself to be almost free of that for him. So we just had this long dialogue, and I did it. I was like, ‘I forgive you and I hope you have that peace. And I got it, and I have kids, we have each other. We’ll be fine.’”
