Amber Heard makes her film comeback with “In The Fire,” a supernatural thriller that sees the “Aquaman” actress play pioneering psychiatry at a time when it wasn’t a recognized or respected science. The film premiered at the Taormina Film Festival on June 24.

Fans seem to love it, as they commented, “Beautiful movie, amazing cast. Thank you for standing with this brave woman, Amber Heard.”

He plays a 38-year-old American psychiatrist who rescues a disturbed child in Colombia whose actions frighten those around him, who then accuse the child of being a demon. As he tries to treat the child, the “supernatural” events intensify, and the film focuses on a race against time for him to save the child from the actions of others and his inner rage.

The film also stars alongside Eduardo Noreiga, known for his roles in “The Last Stand” and “Vantage Point.” Meanwhile, previous work from the director, Conor Allyn, includes the western “No Man’s Land” and the Netflix Originals “Walk. Ride. Rodeo.”

Heard took to social media to post a picture of her with a big smile on her face, although her comments are still turned off. He returned to social media after more than six months, as his last Instagram post was from December 2022, where he talked about settling the defamation case against Depp.

Speaking to Deadline, Heard made it clear that she doesn’t care what other people think about her, since she has no control over it. Said the 37-year-old, “I control most of the things that come out of my mouth. What I can’t control is how much pride I have in this project and everything we put into this film can be surrounded by clips of other things. Right now, I just want to not have, you know, stones thrown at me so much. So let’s take the elephant out of the room, and let me say it. I am an actor. I’m here to support the movie. And that’s not something I can sue.”

He also went on to talk about his pride in his career, and what he’s going through in his personal life has nothing to do with acting, as he says, “I’m not telling you that I have this amazing film career, but what I have is something that I make my own, and it’s given me a lot to be able to contribute. What I went through, what I went through, didn’t make my career at all. And it’s certainly not going to stop my career. So let’s talk about this movie.”
