Amy Robach and TJ Holmes recently talked about not having children together, with Robach admitting that it makes her “a little sad.”
On their podcast, Robach stated that their similar parenting styles made her feel like she was “losing it” to have a child with Holmes. Both have children from their previous relationships.

On the latest episode of the “Amy and TJ Podcast,” Robach and Holmes discuss aspects of their shared lives. During the conversation, Holmes asked his partner if he thought they were “lost to have children.”
In response, the former “GMA 3” co-advisor said: “Really. Yes.” She explained, “I saw your parenting style, and it was very similar to mine, and that was a gift.”
Robach continued: “If any of you out there have a shared parenting style with your partner that makes life easier or at least a little bit easier. And it feels good to have the same operating mode when it comes to what what we want for our children, what we want to teach them.”
“And what I love about you is that you’re willing to let your child dislike you in the moment to teach them a lesson to do the right thing. I appreciate it,” he added.
Even so, Robach acknowledged moments of sadness, concluding, “So yeah, I’ve had a few times where I’ve felt a little sad that we didn’t get together at a time where we could have had that option.”
Couples ‘Expect’ Their Exes Are Dating

Robach and Holmes both have children from previous marriages. Robach shares daughters Ava and Annalize with ex-husband Tim McIntosh. On the other hand, Holmes has a daughter, Sabine, with his ex-wife, Marilee Fiebig, and also shares children, Brianna and Jaiden, with his first wife, Amy Ferson.
Holmes and his ex-wife Fiebig separated in December 2022, after her workplace romance with Robach became public. Their divorce was finalized in October. At the time of their relationship, Robach’s breakup with her actor husband, Andrew Shue, could not be confirmed, which made the situation even more scandalous.
Last December, rumors started swirling that the two exes were dating, and the former co-anchors addressed the rumors on their podcast.
“We really expect that to happen. There’s nothing we can do about it,” Holmes said. “But this place, this podcast, this platform is not and never will be… We are committed to a place that is not about gossip, this is not a place where we applaud the headlines.”
He added, “We’re not going to get into that back-and-forth game because gossip is toxic.”

In another segment of their recent podcast episode, Robach and Holmes delved into the topic of marriage, with Robach expressing her desire for an intimate third marriage.
When Holmes asked about his ideal scenario, the 51-year-old joked, “Justice of the peace. Vegas.” Surprised, Holmes replied, “Is there a justice of the peace in Vegas? I think only Elvis did it … That’s where you want to have it.”
However, Robach later revealed his preference for small and “very intimate” gatherings or “runs and runs somewhere.”
“I think that maybe if I had to choose, I would choose to run away and go to Fiji or somewhere really nice and far away,” he added.
Holmes jokingly said of his choice: “Run to Fiji, okay, You really want to escape. All right.”

However, in their podcast, Robach expressed his desire for a “partner for life.” He emphasized: “That idea of sacrifice, that idea of giving rather than getting, I love that. And it enhances your life to have a partner. I mean, there’s nothing I want more than that.”
The two also recall a pivotal moment in their relationship when they felt the transition from friendship to something more during an after-dinner walk.
Recalling the moment, Robach said: “I believe that we were walking home from dinner with friends, and on the way home, you walked me home. I felt something different in the way we looked at each other.”
“I know the exact time you speak of,” interrupted Holmes.
“We didn’t say anything … I didn’t say anything. You didn’t say anything, but I feel it [a connection],” Robach continued. He added that the pair “hit it off” afterwards, while Holmes said it was a “fun night.”
