Andrew Tate & Brother Hit Another Snag In Quest For Freedom

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan’s troubles don’t seem to be ending anytime soon.

In a new and unexpected twist, the brothers’ attempt to regain control of £10 million [over $12 million] the value of assets, including several luxury cars and watches, seized by law enforcement in January 2023, ended in defeat.

Although a judge initially rejected Andrew and Tristan’s appeal to reclaim their assets last December, the Bucharest Court of Appeal overturned the decision in January.

Therefore, the brothers are scheduled to know the extent of the assets that will be returned to them on Friday.

However, things did not go as planned, with sources close to the situation confirming that their attempts to recover the assets were unsuccessful.

As mentioned above, the authorities seized £10m worth of assets from the controversial duo in January 2023. The assets consisted of £84k worth of company investments [$105k] and 21 Bitcoins worth about £440k [$554k].

Among the seized assets were 15 luxury cars, 14 luxury watches, and 10 properties located in and around Bucharest, Romania.

According to The Sun, the watch collection includes three Patek Philippe, three Audemars Piguet, two Hublot, two Rolex, one Breitling, one Cartier, one Akribos and one Ulysse Nardin.

The list of cars seized by Romanian anti-crime police unit DIICOT includes five Mercedes, three Porsches, two BMWs, two Ferraris, one Lamborghini, one Aston Martin, and one McLaren.

Andrew and his brother were involved in a sex-trafficking investigation, with charges filed against them. DIICOT began an investigation following the arrest of the brothers in December 2022, during which authorities confiscated several blocks of land and two luxury residences belonging to them in Voluntari.

A judicial whistleblower previously revealed that if the Tates are convicted of the crimes charged against them and lack the funds to pay compensation to their alleged victims, their assets will be auctioned off to cover the amount owed.

Almost two weeks ago, Andrew and Tristan were arrested on charges dating back to 2012-2015. As reported by The Blast, Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London issued a European arrest warrant, with an ongoing investigation.

Despite vehemently denying all the allegations, the internet personalities have vowed to contest the charges through their representatives vigorously. While appearing in court, they were flanked by four police officers, two in riot gear.

Their arrests came after lawyers for the four women who accused him of sexual assault and rape learned of Andrew’s potential plans to flee Romania and immediately alerted British authorities.

The bitter experience that Andrew and Tristan had previously hit in July 2023 when they were ordered to remain under house arrest for another 30 days.

The former kickboxer and his brother were placed under house arrest in Bucharest, Romania, in March 2023 after their initial arrest. Andrew later posted his thoughts on the extended indoor stay, writing via X:

“After 93 days of confinement in a Romanian prison, I am now entering my 5th month of confinement in my home. A judge ruled this morning that my detention must continue. The war continues.”

The post immediately gained traction, with critics of Andrew’s misogynistic views applauding the decision. “Thank you, if I were a judge, I would make sure you never enter Romania again,” said one

Another commenter wrote, “Good news! Tate is an abuser. He also admitted many of his crimes in his own words. Because he is a criminal, he cannot understand how evil he is. Enjoy your imprisonment!”

When Andrew was officially charged with rape, human trafficking and masterminding a criminal syndicate to exploit women in June 2023, we highlighted that charges were filed in Bucharest.

Tristan and two women, Luana Radu and Georgiana Naghel, who were also placed under house arrest, were involved in the exact charges.

In response to these developments, the Organized Crime and Terrorism Investigation Directorate [DIIOT] issued a statement confirming that the four defendants established a criminal group in 2021 with the purpose of “committing the crime of human trafficking.”

The group is accused of luring and transporting seven female victims, allegedly subjecting them to physical violence and sexual exploitation during operations across Romania, the US and Britain.

Andrew’s Accusers Want Him To Pay ‘Compensation’ To Them

In an effort to seek justice, the woman who filed the complaint against the Tates recently launched a crowdfunding campaign on Crowd Justice.

They quickly surpassed their initial goal of £8k [$10k]which saw them gather support to reach £50k [$63k] for the campaign. This heartfelt appeal accompanies the campaign:

“We are three survivors of Andrew Tate’s violent and misogynistic ideology. While in the UK, Tate subjected other women and us to serious and violent sexual and physical assault. Despite facing prosecution in Romania, he has never been held accountable for his crimes in the UK.”

The women also expressed their intention to take steps to call for a “criminal investigation in the UK and pursue a civil case” against Andrew for “compensation” to help rebuild their lives.
