Cohen, 54, received a lot of backlash from fans following his comments about Catania’s revelation that he uses diabetes medication to lose weight on the latest episode of “Watch What Happens Live.”

Some fans accused the Bravo king of “praising” celebrities who use the drug to lose weight, which fans point out makes the drug less likely to be used by diabetics for their treatment.

Cohen addressed the issue on his Sirius XM show “Radio Andy,” where he revealed direct messages from fans wondering why Ozempic has recently become a source of controversy.

“Tonight is the third ‘Watch What Happens Live’ guest I’ve heard you praise for losing weight and ask about Ozempic,” the post read, per HuffPostcalled the host’s latest interview with Catania housewives.

The “Sex and the City” alum agreed with her critics when she told her show’s listeners, “Well, you know what? This woman… she’s right.”

“I said to Dolores, ‘You look great,’ and she said, ‘Yes, I lost weight.’ I go, ‘Ozempy?’ He said, ‘Yes, you better believe it!’ I’m glad he told the truth, that way, because there are so many people who don’t,” he added.

Cohen notes that discussions about weight loss can be a “slippery slope.” He also added a word of caution to his defense, stating that he never praised Catania’s success in losing weight but only noticed he was “skinny.”

“I’m trying to send stuff for my audience to watch,” he said. “I mean, if Dolores looks 15 pounds lighter, I need to know how that happened.”

Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Rybelsus, are brand names of Semaglutide used to control high blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes and have the capacity for long-term weight management.
