Gina Kirschenheiter has clapped back at Andy Cohen following his insinuating comment that she has the cheapest house among the “Real Housewives of Orange County” cast members. The 39-year-old took issue with the comment, calling it “unkind,” and pointed out that two of her co-stars don’t own their own homes.

Fans Praise Gina Kirschenheiter For Standing Up For Herself After Andy Cohen Digs Her
During a recent episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” Shady Whale asked fellow “RHOC” cast member Heather Dubrow who would receive the least amount of money from the sale of their home.
Although Heather refuses to answer the question, deeming it “mean”, Andy suggests that the answer is “probably Gina” since she owns “casita”. In response, Gina posted a video that opened with a “WWHL” interaction, pointing out that she is one of the four Housewives who also owns the house. In his words:
“Okay Andy, here’s what I have to say about that. There are six actors in this franchise and four of them are homeowners. Not six. I am one of them.”
The reality television star later claimed to be “the only actress” who owns her house without a husband and mentioned that she is “10 to 20 years younger” than her co-stars. Expressing her displeasure with Andy’s comments further, she asked the host not to paint a picture that she was “dragging behind the herd” because she wasn’t.
“That’s not good, Mr. Cohen,” the New Yorker said in a clip posted on Instagram and captioned “Proud homeowner.” Within hours, fans had flocked to the post’s comments section, sharing their thoughts on how Gina handled the situation.
While one person wrote, “Yeah, that’s so mean. Love that you stand up for yourself,” another applauded, “I love how direct you are in this video without throwing shade. You just tell it the facts-honest, polite-Good! and name your feelings. Class act.”
“Wtf? You bought the house YOURSELF!! Love you and proud of you and the work you do every day!,” a third fan gushed. A fourth cybernaut said, “That’s why you’re the purest one on the show,” and a fifth exclaimed, “Gina’s here spitting the facts, hatless!”
At the same time, a sixth Instagram user expressed their disappointment with Andy’s statement. They wrote, “That is serious BS!! First of all, owning a house is a HUGE deal- no matter what it’s worth!! How dare he come to you like that. So inappropriate and just tacky. Andy really made this a an unnecessary part of the show and showed his true colors there.”
Similarly, another observer noted, “it’s not Andy who makes a damn cartoon asking questions so she doesn’t freak out,” and an eighth declared, “I’m starting to see Andy in a new light. He’s more messed up than all the housewives!!” while others chimed in when they wrote, “This is what Bethenny talks about.. like it or not.”
In addition to fans showing support for Gina, the interaction also confirmed “Real Housewives of New York” alum Bethenny Frankel’s claim that Andy “puts guests on his show in a position to answer questions that reinforce his own opinion.”

Fans will recall that Frankel observed that fathers of one child ask “problematic questions,” saying, “[He’ll ask stuff like], ‘Who’s the worst mother?’ A very problematic question” on an episode of his “Just B” podcast.
‘RHOC’ Star Suffers Physical Abuse In Ex-Marriage
Before getting to the point where she could afford to own her own home, Gina was in an abusive marriage to her now ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter. The situation escalated into violence, which resulted in the arrest and conviction of the financial planner.
In case you missed it, Matt pleaded guilty to felony bodily injury to a spouse/domestic and felony false imprisonment affected by violence, threats, deception or fraud in 2021.
According to court records obtained by The Blast, the 39-year-old was sentenced to three years of formal probation, 180 days in county jail, a batterer’s treatment program, eight hours of community service, and he must pay restitution.
Matt’s legal troubles stem from his June 2019 arrest on suspicion of domestic violence in connection with an incident involving Gina. He was officially charged in September of the same year.
Although he initially pleaded not guilty, he was eventually convicted of criminal charges, with Gina seeking an emergency domestic violence restraining order against him in June 2019. She had alleged that Matt had choked and hit her during a heated argument at their home.
The mother of three said in her filing that she needed to “protect” herself and their children while pointing out that she and Matt had tried – and failed – to reconcile in an effort to keep their family together.
