Andy Cohen has made his first comment on Lisa Rinna’s announcement of her exit from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
The reality star first joined the cast in 2014 during its fifth season, quickly winning a huge fan following for her self-deprecating attitude. However, after eight years and a tumultuous 12th season that saw her feud with fellow housewife Kathy Hilton, Rinna is ready for something new.
Andy Cohen Hopes Lisa Rinna Will Return To The Reality World Like Tamra Hakim
Cohen, Bravo’s executive producer and reunion host, took the time to make his thoughts on Rinna’s departure public. Instead of taking to social media, he took to his SiriusXM show — “Radio Andy,” to state that the actress’ departure “is a huge reshuffle of the deck.”
He began by recalling how “shocked” he was when the “Melrose Place” alum stated that working on the reality show “was the longest job he’s ever had.” “But then I’m not because eight years in a series for an actor. He is a working actor; very often you don’t get a part on a show that goes on for eight years,” Cohen explained of Rinna’s full-time job.

“Watch What Happens Live!” host added that the TV personality’s longevity on “RHOBH” is a testament to how “interesting Lisa Rinna is to watch on television that she’s been gone eight years.”
He then brought “all the memes — and GIFs — that Lisa Rinna has produced” to the audience’s mind to prove how much of an impact she has made on the Bravo series. Continuing to acknowledge the impact of the “Days of our Lives” star, whom he recently called “an icon,” Cohen stated:
“He’s been a huge part of Beverly Hills. And I really hope that this is a hiatus. I hope he comes back. I really do.”
The 54-year-old’s hope that Rinna will make a comeback stems from the fact that Tamra Judge recently informed fans that she will be returning to “Real Housewives Of Orange County” after a two-year hiatus.
The “8 Simple Rules” star confirmed her departure from the franchise amid her ongoing feud with Hilton. The Blast shared that his decision to quit comes after a less-than-desirable final season that saw him mourn the loss of his mother Lois, who died after a stroke.
The “Dancing with the Stars” contestant herself released a statement to the public, in which she said, “This is the longest job I’ve held in my 35-year career, and I’m grateful to everyone at Bravo and everyone involved in the series .”
He mentioned that although he enjoyed his eight-year stay, he was more excited about what his future holds. While the news surprised some of her fans, the decision to leave “RHOBH” was not made on a whim.

As it turns out, the 59-year-old chatted with Bravo executives before the two sides agreed to part ways professionally. Since Rinna hasn’t revealed her plans, fans will have to wait to see what exactly she has up her sleeve in the coming days.
‘The Big, Fun, Sex Book’ Author Outing Sparks Online Backlash From Former ‘RHOBH’ Star
Shortly after Rinna’s announcement went live, The Blast noted that her fans, co-stars and celebrities reacted on social media — and not all of it was good.
For example, his former co-star Lisa Vanderpump took to Twitter where she simply tweeted, “Ding dong”— a word some fans interpreted as a reference to the song, “Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead,” from the 1939 film, “The Wizard of Oz. “
The tweet immediately sparked an uproar from Rinna’s supporters, who reminded Vanderpump that she had been fired from the show. “Your rent is so low,” one of his followers began before telling him that “his actions speak for themselves and always have so I wouldn’t be proud.”
Another noted that Vanderpump “always follows the show she’s on. At least she’s consistent,” and a third asked, “don’t they say this when you finally get off the show????”
Others who know how dramatic LVP — as she’s fondly called — and Rinna’s relationship over the years cheered them on by giving her tweet over 40k likes. One person even shouted, “enter with shade!!” in reply.
