Andy Gibb was born in Stretford, Lancashire, England. He is a British citizen. His parents are Hugh Gibb and Barbara Gibb. The couple had five children and Andy Gibb was the youngest. His father is of English/Scottish descent and his mother is of Irish/English descent. Andy Gibb has one sister and three brothers.
His sister is Lesley and his brothers are Barry, Maurice, and Robin Gibb. When Andy was just six years old his family moved to Queensland and settled on Cribb Island. His family had to move several times between Sydney and Brisbane.
In 1967 Andy returned to the UK and his brothers had made it big with their Bee Gees group. He is not part of the group. His mother used to say that she used to send Andy to school but he used to sneak off to sleep with his beloved horse all day.
