Hollywood star Angelina Jolie joined her daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt for her first Homecoming weekend since enrolling at Spelman College earlier this year. Zahara is one of the actress’ six children with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt.
The two married in 2014 at a French winery they bought together. Two years later, however, Jolie filed for divorce from the actor, accusing him of physical and verbal abuse. They were declared legally single in 2019, although their court case is ongoing.
Earlier this year, Jolie announced that her daughter, Zahara, had enrolled and planned to attend Spelman College. The school’s website describes it as “a historically black college and a global leader in the education of women of African descent.”

Spelman College students and parents were surprised over the weekend when Jolie attended a Homecoming event on campus with her daughter, Zahara. He attended Saturday’s event without security and did not hesitate to take pictures with his many fans.

After Jolie’s surprise appearance, several photos of the “Wanted” actress were posted on social media by fans, who were more than a little surprised to see her at the event. “Angelina Jolie was just taking a leisurely walk with her daughter in Spelman on Homecoming. (I’m doing community service looking an embarrassing mess),” one fan captioned a photo with the actor every HuffPost.

A fan shared a photo of the star looking down while joking about her trying to act “inconspicuous”.
One more write, “I love that Angelina Jolie stops and talks to a bunch of kids at the Spelhouse homecoming with her daughter’s kind of casualness.” “I actually met Angelina Jolie. In August of this year, Jolie announced that Zahara had been accepted and was enrolled at Spelman College. At the time, he used Instagram to share pictures of his daughter and her friends.
After the announcement, the actress made an appearance at Spelman College; however, this time to send Zahara to school on moving day. He took the time to pose for a photo with Darryl Holloman, Spelman’s Vice President of Student Affairs.
The actress was asked how she felt about leaving her daughter at college and revealed that she was excited and emotional about the moment. “I will start crying if I talk about today. I haven’t started crying yet, so… hopefully, I can hold it in,” Jolie said.

In a previous interview with Vanity Fair to promote “Bullet Train,” Pitt couldn’t hide his pride in Zahara and her recent move to leave the nest for college. He said, “I am very proud of him. He is very smart.”
“He will develop more in college. It’s an exciting and wonderful time to find your own path and pursue your passions. I’m so proud,” added the actor, “Where does the time go, right? They grow up too fast. It brought tears to my eyes.”
In addition to Zahara, Pitt is father to Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne, all of whom he shares with Jolie. Three years after the actress ended their relationship, Maddox enrolled at Yonsei University, South Korea. Last year, Pax graduated from high school while Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne were still in school.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016 after two years of marriage. In 2019, the former couple was legally declared single; however, they are still fighting in court over financial matters.
The “Bullet Train” actors were granted joint custody of their children earlier last year, but the presiding judge, John Ouderkirk, was disqualified from the case. The judge was accused of not properly disclosing that he had an underlying business relationship with the winemaker’s lawyer.
Jolie recently filed additional court papers accusing Pitt of “physical and emotional abuse.” According to the actress, the victims were her and their children in 2016 when they were on a private plane.
The papers were filed shortly after Pitt accused the actress of violating his “contractual rights” after he sold half of his Château Miraval. The actor claims that Jolie sold a piece of her French winery to another company without informing him in advance.
