Hathaway Hides Her Pain While Performing On Stage

Delving into the heartbreaking details of her miscarriage, Hathaway admitted it was a challenging period for her as she had to mask her pain while performing as a pregnant woman.

“The first time, it didn’t work out for me. I was doing a play, and I had to give birth on stage every night,” she recalls, noting that she kept the miscarriage a secret, she told her inner circle the truth.

Hathaway told her friends when they visited her backstage because “It’s too much to keep it while I’m on stage pretending everything’s fine.” He added:

“I had to keep it real otherwise…So when it went well for me, having been on the other side — where you have to have grace to be happy for someone — I wanted to tell my sisters, ‘You don’t have to be graceful . I see you, and I am with you.'”

“The thing that broke my heart, blew my mind, and gave me hope was that for three years after that, almost every day, a woman would come to me crying, and I would just hold her because she brought this. [pain] around and suddenly it’s not his anymore.”
